| ♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | I would try putting him back in the bed instead of taking him out. Of course if he just won't stay and settle back down I would not deny him to go potty. But if he slept thru the night before I think he is just wanting to go look outside. Mine will pee almost anytime I let them out day or night. But I know they can go at 9:00pm and be okay till at least 6:30am. Of course once in awhile we have to go out at night. But not very often. All four sleep in bed with me..

I'm not sure I need to let him out every time he scratches the door. I'm so torn.

| The first potty run is 2am. And usually he goes potty at 11pm so I can't imagine he really has to go.

| That is a tough one. Maybe someone else will have an idea that we haven't come up with yet. You know what's weird, I have the opposite problem. Kaji will piddle on his pad all day long like a good boy but he does not drink water. At night after everyone is off to bed, you can find him at his water bowl drinking until his tummy is full.

| I fed them. Hopefully Cooper will "get it all out" before bed. My plan is if he wakes up at night to tell him to get back to bed. But I always felt that if I faked sleeping that he would think that I am sleeping and wouldn't get up to open the door and he'd go back to bed. Amazing how analytical this has to be! He's a dog!!

| Rosie was waking me up at 3 am everyday for a while. I now take her out right before I go to bed. If she wakes up I try putting her back in the bed. 95% of the time it works. If she keeps whining then she really has to go.

That is me. I am the same way. Once you wake me that is it. Really, it doesn't bother me to much. I just take her out. Same as I would if my baby woke me to feed it. Lol. She is my baby after all.

| I don't mind taking him out anytime he needs to go. I'm not cranky in the morning either way. But, it would be nice to sleep a full night and I really think it's more of a training/mental issue rather than really needing to go potty.

| Personally, if my dog were actually going every time they asked- I would continue to take them out. Every dog is different and some can't hold it all night, I think it does more harm then good to force them to hold it when they can't. Armani could hold it all night, Chloe goes twice during the night.
