YT Addict | 8-9 month old pics? Does anyone have pics of their yorkies at 8-9 months old? Tikka's hair is still fairly short, I've seen 4month old puppies with hair a lot longer than her's! She is about 6-7lbs right now, I wonder if their size has anything to do with making their hair look longer/shorter?

| Her coat probably just grows slower...I know what you mean, though. I cut Marley's coat about a month ago and now I regret it because I want it to bed long now!

| Here's Zoe's current pic, and she will be 8 months 13 days. We do have a disclaimer, and that is that Zoe went almost bald at about 4 months, so we're just happy she has hair! She and Tikka look like they have similar coats. Tikka is ADORABLE!

| Sissy has a silk coat and her top knot has never gotten very long. She is 5 yrs old now and her top knot is maybe 4inches long and never been cut. Her body hair gets long and has been trimmed several times. When we first got her at 5mo. old (she is our rescue) she was malnurished, skin and bones and had sparse hair. We gave her Missing Link supplement to build her up and now she is healthy (too healthy, our vet said she needs to lose weight).

YT Addict | Awe Zoe looks a lot like Tikka, just smaller! Even how her top knot it greyblonde and her muzzle tan... Tikka's hair is coming in like that too lol. Pretty sure their hair lengths are identical lol! Are Yorkies supposed to have a silk coat... I thought they were, but why wouldn't a silk coat grow?...like you mentioned the top knot on your furbaby hasn't reached full length ever yet.... I thought that was more of a Silky T. trait? Is it just genetics... I have noticed Tikka's roots are coming in lighter all over especially her darkblueblack has lighter greyblue roots, hopefully that's a sign of growth to come!!

| My bobbi has a silk and slow growing coat. My Aja seems to probably grow a silk coat as well but hers is growing at a much faster rate than his did at her age. Proves all yorkies vary greatly.

Zoe's back is the same way...lighter grey/blue roots under the black. It's so interesting to watch the progression!
