Puppy mill or not?

I asked earlier but i didnt give enough information on where Marley came from. The web site I found him on was puppyfind.com but the warrenty that the woman sent me was from "lone pine Pets" you can search it on the web and the website will come up. http://www.puppies-puppies.com/ or you can just click on the link. No matter where Marley came from I'm giving him the best home ever I was just curious! He's my baby! I'm so happy to have him as a part of my family!

Congratulations on your puppy - I don't think you dealt with a mill but I'm no expert.

It SOUNDS like you got your baby from a Broker and Lone Pine Pets is probably a Kennel - Some Kennels are bad news too just like mills - but I guess it's all in what people choose to think is bad.

This part would bother me if I were looking for a puppy and this was on their website.......

the golden/doodles are used for therapy dogs. they use them because the say they dont shed its a golden reteriver and a poodle.

Yes sad, but let me tell ya, here near the california border, I live in Nevada. They call Mutss, "Designer dogs". Infact funny names, "Dorkie" (Dachsund & Yorkie) or "Porkie" (Poodle and Yorkie). I can't believe what people pay either. LIke I said earlier in our area, it is a steal to get a purebred Yorkie under $2000. It is just unheard of. Here though you have only two places, or a two hour drive to another 6. The two here, only breed once a year. (Per Dam) So there really isn't a big Yorkie population, I have only seen one other.

Wow, I went off subject. But can you imagine telling someone you paid $2500 for a Porkie? More like $2500 for a mutt!

It's interesting that it is the end of 2005 and you have a new puppy from them, but they supposedly had a "complete" dispersal sale in 2004?

I RETRACT MY PREVIOUS POST ...Puppy MILLS have auctions and they make me SICK ! I didn't see that and think I was too nice in my earlier post...Kennel is too good of a word for THAT !

I Did purchase Marley from NOrma. DOes this mean he might have not gottin all the shots it said he had? Im concerned about Marley,I don't want anything bad happening to him.

I don't know how closely they're really watched but it sure wouldn't surprise me that he may not have his shots......When they have THAT many dogs I have to wonder what kind of medical attention and how can someone prove their puppy did get their shots ?

I have no idea - but I would ask your vet what his thoughts are....I'm sure the question has come up before and they will know what direction to steer you in.....It's can't hurt to look into can it ?

When they have many dogs like they have , the chances that pups have their vaccinations is mostly from 0 to none .

well just to make you feel better, I am not quite sure of the conditions that i bought Dollar in either...I was naive at the time and just bought on impulse. I love him tho and glad that he is now safe. It was a mistake not to be made again. But no one is perfect.

The first time I had took MArley to the vet the vet said that he wonders If marley even ever got his shots,but that did nothing about it And wanted to wait til spring. I THink the vet was more concerened on money than the puppy himself so i will be bringing him to another vet,Thank you for all your replys!
