| She is going to the vet in the morning, please pray for her that there is no corneal edema/ulcers. She has been doing fine so far. I will keep you all updated. |

| This is just one of the many pieces of advice about possible canine eye ulcers being an emergency that can't wait that I found on the web: Due to its potential to permanently impair vision or perforate the eye, a corneal ulcer is considered an ophthalmologic emergency. While corneal ulcers occasionally may be sterile, most are infectious in etiology. Ulcers due to viral infection occur on a previously intact corneal epithelium. Bacterial corneal ulcers generally follow a traumatic break in the corneal epithelium, thereby providing an entry for bacteria. Your baby needs to see a vet ASAP. I hope and pray she is going to be okay but waiting all this time is not best from all the Google responses I got.

| I'm glad you're taking her in. Please let us know how she's doing after you see the vet today. Sending lots of prayers for her.

| Did the vet feel that she had eye ulcers from the bleach? Also, did he do a stain on the cornea to check for abrasions?

| The ulcers are really bad news. Like I was telling you when Kayla had that ulcer show up when I bathed her, it was no more than 30min. I had her at the vet. After putting her on meds and drops in the eye twice a day it even spred to the other eye. Thank goodness we have not had anymore problems, but, I agree about the time factor. You don't want it to go very long. ASAP isn't fast enough. Good luck and I hope your baby will be fine. |

![]() Just a side note though - Keep ALL household chemicals LOCKED in a cupboard with child safety latches. How old is your daughter? She probably didn't realize there was anything harmfull in the bottle, maybe she thought it was just water. Good thing she didn't spray it on herself.
