| A hawk, really? Ignorant...you said it, I didn't. There a quite a few threads on YT about red legged yorkies. I'm sure if you searched the term you would find out rather quickly what a red legged yorkie is.

| What I said was rude? What she said was totally ignorant. Being a red legged Yorkie owner, whom is a rescue I might add, got pretty offended by her remark. She may have thought it was funny, but I for one clearly do not.

| Yes Michelle they are rude and have proven to be a different kind of ignorant to my lack of knowledge kind. For those of you familiar with me, the hawk comment was in jest, as for the other we will just ignore you. Lynzy in the several years of being on YT I've never heard or seen reference to red legged Yorkies. I know there are yorkies like my little Tufty his mother and siblings who have red on their faces and a touch in their legs. But I do not believe its a "type" of yorkie. |

| Definition of a "red legged yorkie": "A redleg is kind of a throw back so to speak. A yorkie that looks like one of the original ancesters, at least that's where we think the color and coat texture comes from. They are usually a bit longer of body, on the larger side, their hair is a bit harder and usually somewhat dry and brittle. They possess alot of strength and a strong depth of pigment." |

| I think that perfectly describes my friends two yorkies, yorkie mom. Unlike others I've seen they don't grow a lot of hair on their ears either. They too are rather wiry |

| Teegy...I spent the late night reading about red legged yorkies which is merely an adjective...there is nothing inherently "wrong" with a red legged yorkie, its just as Judy (Yorkiemom1) described, its merely a throwback...I have a Biewer that looks like a Dalmation and is deaf...my friends love to tell folks they shes a miniature dalmation while they whisper...as though she can hear them reference her rareness! I'm not offended, she is what she is...I really think that Orlnurse was having an off moment OR is just so in love with her precious babies that any reference other than positive brings out the momma protective instinct!!! We all know shes quite a wonderful YTer and don't we just love devoted folks who are passionate about their pups?! I'm probably eating leather here, I'm just trying to keep the peace and let you know that I for one know you didn't mean to offend anyone...your jesting always cracks me up!

| My Rubin's parents are show champions. They had beautiful floor lenght hair and amazingly beautiful faces and body types. The breeder knew Rubin would never be a show dog. He was a 'Red legged Yorkie'. Some of you know my 10 year old Rubin. If you check out my photo albums you can see Rubin. He is six pounds, has a beautiful square look body type with a perfect top line. His features are delicate, short nose, beautiful black rimmed, brown eyes, and expressive black lipped mouth ( He gives toothy smiles). His coat never changed colors. The puppy black is still very black and the the tan markings are a deep reddish tan. Rubin's fur never mats or tangles, and it does not grow long. The best way I can describe it, is it feels like thick human hair. It reminds of my friend's hair. She is from China and her hair is perfectly straight, thick and feels hard to the touch. My Rubin of course was never bred because his coat type and coloring is not show type. But, I honestly think he knows he comes from royal champion lines. He is so prissy, spoiled and proud. He glides around as if to say look at me, I am Prince Rubin and I am beautiful !
