Honestly, I don't usually walk Ellie either. Shhh. lol

Even if it is CT, reducing the weight could potentially significantly imporve her quality of life. The extra weight definitely can aggravate the situation.

Canned food isn't bad, but has the fat content been converted to a dry matter basis. Maybe my mind is just running here (

), but with Schnauzers and Yorkies in the house, I'd be really concerned about pancreatitis.

If her belly comes out instead of in (on the sides), then she likely does have quite a bit to lose.

You sound like you are on the right track. Definitely go back to Wellness, add some veggies and low fat treats, and add in some exercise. Going for daily walks and having vigorous playtime should help.
