| Petco Allergy Tabs? Has anyone tried the Petco allergy tabs? They get good reviews online. Every spring Lulu has allergies and won't stop scratching and biting and I don't like to giver her Benadryl. Thanks |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | What are the ingredients? I don't use them, but posting the ingreds may give people a chance to chime in. Benadryl isn't known to work all that great in dogs. Other OTCs are Zyrtec, Claritin, and Chlor-Trimeton...all of which are also used in dogs. The presciption stuff is Atopica, Temaril-P, steroids, or allergy shots. Here in AZ, the pollens are terrible...and allergies are very often all year 'round (worse at certain months). We have great Vet Derms here, and that's who we see for allergies.

| Cooper tends to get allergies during this time of year and the vet has given me a medicated shampoo and spray to use. I am going to give them a try, but I found some Petco Allergy tabs as I was digging through my dog supplies. I must have bought them awhile back. Ingredients: Dicalcium phosphate, fish oil, flax seed, magnesium stearate, maltodextrins, microcrystalline cellulose, natural flavoring, non-fat dry milk, rosemary extract, silica aerogel, stearic acid, vegetable oil and whey. Anyone use them?

| I would not feel comfortable buying allergy tabs at petco and would rather talk to my vet about something. Callie has allergies and the vet gave us Hydroxyzine and it works great for Callie.
