| Welcome to YT...and your baby is a cutie!!...but Yorkie/Lab? how is that even possible? I mean the largest Yorkie I have ever seen is only 15 lbs and IMO thats still small compared to a 60 to 80 lb Lab...I would think the mating/tie alone would hurt or even kill the female Yorkie...That just doesn't make since to me.

| Long time ago I had a small terrier mix around 8 lbs and she mated with a full grown lab(a mistake) and I was really worried because of the size difference. My vet told me it would be fine and the puppies would adjust to the mothers size and everything would be okay. Well she had the puppies......all eight of them! Yes, this little dog had eight puppies! I didn't think they would every stop coming out! I kept one and it is now 14 years old and is medium size with a smaller head than a lab, but other than that she looks like a lab. | To the op....I really think you have a beautiful dog. It will be interesting to find out what type of personality it will have. It should make for a calmer dog than a pure yorkie. I think. |

| Welcome! Your little one is adorable. I, too, am looking forward to little Lola's progress and can't wait to hear about her personality. I love both breeds!

| Welcome!! ![]() At the vets office the other day a lady had what appeared to be a GIANT yorkie. This dog was long, and weighed about 30 pounds, but looked just like a yorkie in the face (coloring was uniformed and was light gold/tan...very pretty shade) I asked her what breed her dog was and she said she was a mix of a Yorkie and a Goldendoodle!!!!!! Very pretty dog but I immediately felt sorry for it's mother! Of course I suppose the mother could have been the Goldendoodle. I should have asked. I sort of thought she was telling fibs until this thread. I guess stranger things HAVE happened

| hi ![]() Lola Is a Mix between a Yorkie and a lab but she is no where near 30lbs she was at vets the other day as i do take her there once a month to get checked over just because she is a diffrent breed of dog and she was 4.89kg which is round about 12lbs i think. She is 7 months now and i think thats her fully grown havet seen much of a diffrence in her in the past 2 months. Her mum she was a verry health dog when we seen her before we took Lola home she was running around and playing like any other dog would she did not seem unhappy or unwell in any way. the mum and the dad wernt meant to breed with each other but the Mum stays on a farm and ther is a only 1 other house beside it for miles and thats where the dad stayed and the owner of Lola's mum thinks that he could of got thro a gap in fence or somthing so it was a compleat accident. |
