Yorkie or Yorkshire Terrier? When someone asks you what kind of dog your Fur Baby is, do you say Yorkie or Yorkshire Terrier. Just curious about what the majority of owners say. I always say Yorkie :aimeeyork |

Yorkshire Terrier. I've used "yorkie" more, in the last few months I've been on here, but I prefer Yorkshire Terrier. |

I normally will say both in a conversation but if someone says "what kind of dog is that"? I will normally say Yorkie because that is what people know them by. I myself when i am having a intelligent conversation with someone i dont have to lecture I like to say Yorkshire terrier. |

Yorkie. Most people understand that. I think because it is easier. I may start saying Yorkshire Terrier just to see the reactions. :D |

If they have to ask I don't think the know the difference between the terms Yorkie and Yorkshire Terrier. I've had a few see the pups and say "oh you have Rottweiler puppies..." I say, "no they're Yorkies, they just look like rotts when puppies, they will change...oh never mind..." lol |
Yorkie terror, no that's not a typo. Mister Teddie Monster is being a terror lately. That's ok, I still love him so. :p |
