I usually say both in case someone doesn't know what Yorkie is short for! :) |
I always tell them My Male Sneakers is a Rottweiler/Pit Bull mix. I get some very strange looks at times, but not at others. Actually, I'm not stretching the truth all that much, attitude counts for something, doesn't it ! :D |
I say yorkie |
I say Great Dane! ok...ok...yorkie! |
Yorkie:) |
I say yorkie. My husband says beware of the vicous lint when someone comes in to the house..... |

I may have to borrow this...too funny! Since Zoe's so small, almost everyone says, "Oh, is it a teacup Yorkie?" Then I have to try to fit in a few words about how there's really no such thing and that because she's too small she had a lot of health issues as a puppy. Some even go on at that point to say, "I want one that small!" |
Jinger, Help your self ! It's such a paradox...yes, Cuppies do have health problems, but one can hardly help themselves, they are SO cute ! ;) |
Yorkie fits Tibbe better. |

Teacup Yorkie:p Nah, I usually say Yorkshire terrier if I'm not sure how much the person knows about dogs. Yorkie doesn't tell them much if hey don't know the breed. |

I say Yorkies (I have 2). If someone asks me to repeat it or asks me what that is then I say Yorkshire Terriers. Funny thing is that they usually know what they are then. |
I usually say Yorkie. It's just quicker and easier. Once, a woman asked what type of dog Belle was and I said Yorkshire Terrier... she responded by saying, "Oh, so she's a Yorkie mixed with some kind of terrier?" |
Julie this is a cute thread:p I say yorkie most of the time. I get the questions like "is it a rat?? lol" not funny:( or "omg.. and furious ankle biter" also not funny. Most of the time people say oh how cute.. is that a yorkie? I mostly have her dressed up when she is out. I have my speech ready when asked if she is a teacup.. one time a lady asked if she was a toy.. I started my speech about half way through I realized she was just asking if she was in the "toy" group. She really didn't know much about the different breads or yorkies. Now.. at home she is my furbaby, my cuddle monster:eek: well... when I can get her away from dh!!!!!!!!! |
Yorkie, It fits his personality!:aimeeyork |
