| Reputable Breeders in NY? Does anyone know any reputable, caring Yorkie breeders? My family and I (four members) have been searching for a yorkshire terrier breeder because we refuse to buy from pet stores, and there's rarely small dog breeds at my local shelter(s). If anyone knows any breeders in NY or around this area, please let me know. THANKS! |

| You can check the YTCA website for their recommended breeders and contact them to see if they have any upcoming litters, but to be perfectly honest - I think you'll be out of luck. Unfortunately, the New York City area does not seem to have any breeders. You may need to go out of state. Good luck to you.

| Cally930 is right. There are no breeders in NYC or for that matter NYS. We ended up getting our dogs at pet stores and thank God they turned out all healthy. This was all before I knew about YT. We grew up in the olden days before people knew alot about breeders and when they wanted a dog they went to a pet store. If I was looking for a breeder now I would have to go out of state to find one. |

| Cally930 is right. I live in NYC and searched for a reputable breeder in the state of New York for over a year and couldn't find one. I ended up getting Teddy from a breeder out of state. It is definitely worth looking out of state. This forum will help you find a good breeder.
