| I need a good vet I took Charlie to the vet for his rabies shot and he also got a kennel cough shot... I took him to this vet when i first got him for his initial check up and had a weird feeling about him... I should have stuck with my gut. I will not be going there again. This guy is so arrogant. I did not like the way he handled Charlie and there is no way he'd be neutering him. Where do I go to find a good vet... I don't want to jump around until I find one i'm comfortable with... Does anyone know of any good ones in the Long Beach, Lakewood, Los Alamitos or Cerritos area they recommend. Or a referral service I can use to find a good one. |

| AAHA Resources For Pet Owners http://www.aahanet.org/graphics/headerline.jpg www.healthypet.com I'm across the counrty, so can't help with a specific recommendation, but try this site. The vet I used to work for was AAHA accredited and the only one in our area who is. To get accredited the vet and clinic has to go through scrupulous tests in every area of the practice and AAHA sends a rep. once a year to do an evaluation in order for the clinic to keep the accreditation. It doesn't necessarily quarantee that the vet will have a great "bed side manner" lol (and there's plenty of great vets that choose not to go through the process) but it's an idea for you. There's another website where you can look up specific reviews on almost any business in your particular area, but darn, I can't think of it (I see comercials for the site all the time though).
