| ![]() Years ago we brought home 3 poodle puppies. I groom them myself. I paid once for two of the dogs to be groomed by someone else. I was so disapointed,I did so much better than the person that I took them to and they were highly recommended by a friend. I groomed one of the poodles today and bathed him. Its quality time together. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Hi, and welcome to YT from Texas! I am probably one of the few yorkie owners who have never had a bad groomer experience but when I read about what you went through.... I was just sick. Thank goodness your Chewie looks adorable with the drastic clip (I promise) and thank goodness he wasn't mistreated or injured in any way by such an obnoxious mperson. Count yourself lucky because there are stories on here that would make you cry from taking a precious pet to the wrong groomer. A wonderful groomer is worth their weight in gold. If I watched grooming videos until my eyeballs bled, I couldn't groom squat! So ask the lifesavers on YT who live closest to you for advise on where to go and who to ask for. That's what I did! |

| ![]() Welcome to YorkieTalk. Chewie is adorable! Sorry for your bad grooming experience. It is quite a shock to see them go from black to the lighter silver color, buy boy they did shave him short. Seems like they could have left it a little longer, especially giving him more of a Yorkie looking face. If you ever take him to a groomer again, take pictures of what you want and be very specific about how much to cut. Brush him daily and run a comb thru the hair to make sure there are no mats. It will make future grooming go easier. Or, better yet, learn how to do it yourself. I do my 4 at home.
