The "dark parti" is just a cast off from the black and gold traditional. And yes..they can have a more thicker or modified coat. :) I find both (dark and thick silk) beautiful!!

No, the tricolor is not a defect...it's genetics, just like yours or my hair color. The YTCA does not approve of the parti so it is disqualified within the show ring so technically being called, "a flaw".

Breny had some Beautiful parti puppys out of 2 carriers, They were perfect.

Yikes..it's late. A cast off? Mmkay...LOL

The dark parti is no different then some of the Biewers. IMO...it has inherited it's darker colors and markings from the black and gold yorkies. Placement of color is all determined by the piebald or irish spotted gene.

Yes she did!! Some of the best I have seen. I like this carrier to carrier breeding very much!!

When I think of a perfectly marked tricolor Yorkie, I immediately think of MaryKay's Nappy and Candiroze.

(I also like a carrier to carrier breeding or a silky coated carrier to a parti...hopefully, to help with the modified coats that so many partis seem to have).

Gosh, I don't even know...haha, after looking at both of them in pictures the only difference appears to be registration and tails. As long as I find a good breeder I guess I wouldn't really care if they were biewer or parti :D I'm only going to be looking for a pet quality girlie for Rizzo's future sister, when I'm ready for the addition of course :D
Such beautiful babies are on this thread. So far 5 pages without turning into a massacre, very nice :D

She was just getting started. She is a thief.. she'll nudge and agitate till they leave and she can have the bed all to herself...and warmed up for her!

She gets a bit feisty now and then, but for the most part, she's a sweetheart! (FYI: There were 5 empty beds she could have chosen to get into!) She does this with the other dogs too. And me if she's in my bed. Sound asleep and she'll come up and full body slam my head!
