| Cough This morning I was getting ready for work and my husband had Gizmo out on the couch with him. Next thing I know, I was blow drying my hair and I hear this hacking and high pitched wheezing sound. I stopped the hair drier and went out to see Giz trying to what looked like hacking up a hair ball. I told me husband to go have him get a drink and he did but continued to wheeze and hack. So, almost panicking, I called the vet and my husband had to take him while I went to work. Panicking at work, my husband called to tell me that Gizmo didn't have a fever and the vet said he was healthy, however he had an inflamed tonsil. She didn't think it was kennel cough however he has been put on a round of antibiotics and robitussin. My poor little man. Hasn't been feeling good at all since his 4 month shots on Monday. Anyone else Yorkie ever had an inflamed tonsil? They don't have tonsil surgery for dogs do they? My goodness, that'll be next.

| In January of this year, Rosie got an infection. The emergency vet said it appeared to be a viral infection but on his report he listed tonsillitis with a question mark. He seemed to think she had an infection in her throat. I was surprised because I didn't know that animals could get that. I don't know if yours has the same thing or not. However, she was not coughing at all. She was very lethargic and clingy to me. And she would shake. But she did have fever. Whatever it was the antibiotic worked. They also did blood work on her. I don't know if they did that for you or not. Just make sure you finish the antibiotic and keep an eye on eating and drinking. I am sure your baby will be better in a few days. Keep us updated!
