| A new beginning Hello all, I am a new member of only a day or two. I have recently lost my very special little friend at the age of 10yrs. He was not a yorkie but a very little 5lb poodle. I have cried and mourned for him so much that my sweet husband has said that I need a new baby. We do own several dogs, but each of them belong to someone else in the house. I have put alot of reading and thought into what type of new baby I would like,a yorkie. So as I mourn the loss of my lil friend and prepare to move forward in life. I have joined this forum to learn more about yorkies, make new friends and hopefully find a breeder. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. I am currently waiting for my new baby to be ready to come home with me and start a new begining of my own. We lost our cocker girl not to long ago and with my kids at school, the house is so quiet it screams at me. I can hardly wait to fill it up with puppy sounds again. I joined here after I made my deposit on my little Yorkie boy and have learned so much from this forum. I hope you will find it as enjoyable and informative as I have. Best of luck to you in your search for a good breeder and a new baby

You have some great breeders in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area..... Go to the YTCA.org page.....regional clubs, you'll find a listing for the Breeder Referral person from the Bluebonnet Yorkshire Terrier Club, Inc.....contact her, she will steer you in the right direction.

| I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your little friend. I think a yorkie would be a great way to heal your heart! They are fantastic little dogs and if you already had a small toy dog, you already have an advantage. Welcome to YT

| Hi and Welcome to YT. Very sorry to hear about your loss but you will love having a yorkie. We have five dogs with only one yorkie and he is the greatest little dog in the world. He's smart, and cute and as bad as they come, but he will give you kisses and love every day. They have alot of people that can really help you and are always there for you. |

| I am sad to welcome you to this site under these cicumstances and know your heart is breaking over the loss of your little friend of so many years. Please know there are many of us here who know that feeling very well and understand what you are feeling and going through at this time. Poodles are so sweet and so smart. So sorry for your great loss. My prayer is you will hold your other babies and husband close and heal.

| Thank you all for your encouragement! I looked at pac n plays today for furbaby to be in the den with us (supervised pack time). The rest of the pack can check the baby out and not touch. This is what I did with my lil friend (his name was Bunkey) and his twin brother (he is still with us) when I brought them home. We had a 70lb "live in the house" dog who turned out to be the best trainer of all. As I wait and read somemore I will have a chance to make some things for the new baby (I sew alot). I gave all of the doggie clothes that I had purchased and made to a young friend that has a 4 1/5lb yorkie,he will be very well dressed little boy. I did check the YTCA site out and found several that I am interested in. EsmeeKimme-I look forward to enjoying stories of Riley. I hope to have baby pics to post in the next few months. |

| Sorry to hear about your loss. Poodles are awesome little dogs too.You have come to the right place not only to talk with us who have also lost special little ones, but to do your research before you get a little yorkie. This forum is full of great people and people like Mardelin will help you get in touch with a reputable breeder. I know a new puppy will never replace your baby but like me it will help with your healing. Welcome to YorkieTalk!
