Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I've got quite a few. Before I was officially a member, the posts from some of the great people here helped me in assisting my niece in finding a healthy yorkie pup after her new pup died from an undisclosed heart defect. When I got Scarlett from the rescue, she was so small (most likely only 6 weeks) and didn't have any teeth. There was no way she was eating the way they told me she was. Mardelin and a few other members gave me lots of good tips on feeding her and keeping her safe. It was also nice to have someone to celebrate with me when she was finally eating and pooping on her own.

| My first and only forum and it is full of lots of good advice and opinions in addition to the wonderful stories and friends one "meets" almost daily via posting. I enjoy reading what everyone is saying about their dogs.

| Well I have gotten help from everything to how to pick a good breeder, what to feed to what to expect from living with a yorkie. You can google all day about the breed but hearing real life stories (good and bad) here has helped me get what I believe is a clear idea of what I will be getting myself into when I bring my dog home. The information here is invaulable and there are a few that even have gone beyond the threads and reached out to me personally through the PM system and as a result I feel a lot more secure about my new baby. I came here as someone who honestly thought they knew about dogs, I have raised them, potty trained them, loved him, cried for them and everything but breed them (never did that lol) but I had never had a toy group type dog and I found out very quickly what a difference that has made in what I thought I knew lol. I count some of you as friends already, people I know I can turn to if I am freaking out at 2am and that is so wonderful. I hope to know more of you and get to know the ones I have already met a lot better as time goes on. I expected to gain a lifelong friend when I put down a deposit on a yorkie. I never realized I would be gaining a family. I love YorkieTalk and even when things might have stung a little I know it was always in the best interest of the dog and frankly that is what led me here in the first place so I am ok with that as well.

| I can't even begin to list the ways I feel this site has helped me. First, I found the site because Rosie was sick. I was not a member, just looked around. I ended up taking her to the vet immediately because of everything I had read. After that, I signed up. Then I have been provided wealth of information from grooming products, different foods, tear stains, etc. This information came from Yorkie owners who knew what I was looking for. Then, just recently, Rosie was sick again. Who did I turn to? You guys. I needed the support and encouragement. Again my baby ended up at the er vet. She had an infection. Rhondah was with me all the way. And everyone provided encouragement and even checked on my little girl. It meant a lot to me. Finally, when Yogi passed my YT friends came to provide me with support as I struggled through the loss. And he wasn't a Yorkie. I am on here daily because of the support and advice that I receive. I am very happy with my membership here and have encouraged others to join also.

| Well YT and I had a rocky start due to the fact that I came here asking about finding a mix, but it is so great here that the rocky start now means nothing. It wasn't even really a huge deal at the time, but I came on pretty defensive I will admit. I have since learned WHY people say the things they do and the motivations behind that. Threads aren't for only those involved in them, but future and anonymous readers as well! Also, everyone just feels very passionately about the pups! I have learned so much in how to care for my baby here. This site helped me do a lot of prep for her home coming and has helped me since. People were here to help me through Rylie's 1st haircut and her spay. They have supported me when someone was particularly vicious and I have seen them provide help and support to others again and again. I love YT and I am very grateful that the community exists to continue providing great advice! Thank you everyone for being here!!!! |

| I haven't seen the facebook page and don't care to. Why do people who don't like this site need to start a negative facebook page about it? they can always just go somewhere else. I think this is a wonderfully helpful site even if I don't always agree with everything 100%. I didn't know I was supposed to agree 100%. I think there are too many people out there that have too much time on their hands. |

| I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I found YorkieTalk. I have learned a lot (and still learning). I had no idea there was so much to know about Yorkies - different foods, grooming, training, I could go on and on. The members of YorkieTalk would be one of the best things. They are willing to help and they truly care. I have had them give me their personal phone numbers to help me get through an issue I might having with the pups. When I had to go to the Emergency Vet in the middle of the night, they were there to offer support. The members who make up YorkieTalk with all of their knowledge and experience who are there for every question or need for advice. Even if you think you are asking a stupid question.
