				   | Hi there, I've been reading here for a few weeks preparing for her arrival. I am happy to be a new yorkie mama. My yorkies name is Mia Bella, she is 13 weeks old and weighs 2 lbs 1 oz. She is so smart and beautiful. In the past I have had large breed dogs and let me tell you having a small breed dog is totally different. I intend to take her to a puppy obedience/socialization class offered through her vet once her shots are done. I can't wait to be able to take her out. Yorkietalk has been a great resource for me. I look forward to sharing the joys and tribulations of sharing my life with a yorkie. |

				   | Welcome to Yorkie Talk, and congratulations on your new fur baby. Hope you are having lots of fun with her and that you'll share stories and pictures with us when you can. Yorkies definitely are different (than large breeds), and many of us think they really are little kids with fur.

				   | Welcome, Inky and welcome to little Miss Mia Bella. Aren't they cute at that age? You are wise to start her training early as it really helps them start to learn to #1 - Listen to mommie and #2 - Do what mommie says. Ha! The sooner that they learn that, the better it is. Yorkies are not cowed or changed by simple obedience training as long as it is done positively and with only love. Tibbe just eats his training up - and as he was very wild when I first got him - he is an obedient little toot! He does have his opinion about what I say and do but is mostly minds. Cannot wait to see your baby's pictures.

				   | I am so glad you are in love with your new yorkie and I am thrilled you'll be starting her with obedience training right away. I've done obedience with all three of mine and it has really paid off because it is a language between dog and owner and not just a bunch of cute tricks (although those are fun too!). Yorkies are very smart so I'm sure your little one will be the star of her class. Welcome to YT.
