♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | ![]() Tia (3 years)has always slept beside our bed and sleeps from 10-6 which is when I get up for work and since getting olly (2 years old and had him a year now), he has slept there too only he is a bit more restless. In the past week Olly has got me up nearly every night and twice last night! I don't mind if he has a belly ache and needs to toilet but this is getting crazy and I need my sleep or Im so grouchy lol. The question is : is it fair to keep Tia sleeping beside my bed whos never been a problem and to put Olly in the dining room at night?

| ![]() ...not life. LOL! hmmm only a week, maybe it's just tummy trouble and a temporary thing...is he actually going potty? Elvis likes to sleep in if I wake him up before 8 am he's rude... I get up at 7 he follows me into the kitchen dining, living room area-and promptly goes back to sleep on a bed out there-if I leave this area...he huffs at me...of course then he follows me around...all begrudged.

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | ![]() Thinking back I think it was my own doing as one night when he got me up I let him come into our bed and now I think he thinks if I get her up she will do the same, sounds crazy but yorkies are very smart lol ![]()

| ![]() Before I did anything, would get a vet check-up to be sure no UTI or something medical going on. My grown Yorkies have always slept through the night with only the most occasional need to go in the middle of the night- maybe 2 - 3 times a year. With this frequency and since your little guy cannot talk and tell you, I would want to be sure there was no problem with this recent, continuing need to go during the night. Tibbe is a ham and loves attention but even he doesn't get me up frequently at night just for attention. There could be something going on. If it is not a UTI, maybe it is something else making him uncomfortable. |
