| Training Yorkie to like riding... Ok, Teddie Bear is a little bundle of joy and we are working hard on all of our new puppy-isms. One I have found is he HATES to ride in cars. When I take him to the vet he freaks out, screeches the whole way there and back again, and won't calm down at all. Is there a way to train your puppy to be ok with riding in a car without giving them a tranquilizer? Any ideas and suggestions will be oh so welcome...his last vet visit is the 31st of March, so I am getting a head start.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | If you are calm he will be calm.... But it never hurts to bribe them with goodies. Try some chicken bits throughout the car ride and lost of praise when he is calm and seems to be at ease. I have an appointment with two of mine tomorrow afternoon. They have always done very well but I have gotten a new car and this will be their first time in it. I hope that being in a strange car wil not spook them and that they will be on their best behavior during the 20 min. ride to the vets office.
