| Good Afternoon Hi, my name is Demejoe and I am a new Yorkie mom, to Giorgio. He is my first pet as an adult ( I'm 34). I have been lurking for awhile because I have a lot to learn. Giorgio is only 4 months old and I am constantly worried about him. He is almost 3 pounds. My autistic son loves him to bits. Didnt know the little guy would be such a picky eater. I have been through 3 to 4 brands of dry food. I have crushed it and to no avail, the little bugger wont eat it. He eats mostly canned food. Rib eye steak, chicken and rice. I feel like I am doing something wrong. I try to make sure he eats even its by hand due to my concerns with hypoglycemia. I finally got him to go outside and now he never wants to come in . I worry about him eating suff off the ground in the backyard. I hate to be a chronic worrier but the little guy was a Valentine's Day gift from my husband (cant physically have kids of our own) so I take this seriously. Sorry so long, I was just supposed to say hi. Thanks for reading. |

| I hope you like YT and visit often. Four months is an adorable age. Your problem is probably due to his teething. Teething is very painful for some yorkies, while others have little trouble. His gums may be painful and swollen, as well as feverish. Sometimes ice cubes and frozen wash cloths to soothe their gums will help. If you are feeding something different than the breeder had him on, then that could be part of the problem with his eating.

| Thanks to all of you for the welcome. When Giorgio came home, the breeder sent him home with a bag of Eukanuba. He wasnt having it period. I took him to the vet 2 days after he came home. They recommended Royal Canine, which worked for a week and then he stopped eating it. He has never just ate dry food period, vet reccommended I add wet food. I tried Wellness dry food, I crush it up and put the canned food on top. He is doing okay but you just never knows with him. I love tending to him, I would swaddle him in a blanket when he first came home. He was always shivering. I love him to pieces. I have a tube of Nutrical in case of emergencies. If it sounds like I am rambling...sorry. I made an album here with a couple pics of him. I dont know how to post a pic in my profile. I will try to figure that one out. |

| Welcome!! Wellness is a pretty good food from what I have heard and read. Good for you for making sure you have nutrical on hand.. a little bit of it now and then won't hurt him at all! Can't wait to look at your pics!

| Welcome to you and Georgio!! You sound like a good Yorkie mama already!! You are right on track to spoiling your little man just like the rest of us!! If he's eating ribeye steak and chicken, he definitely will not want to go back to kibble!! He's holding out for your dinner!! Good Luck with your little man!!
