| Can my Sassy girl have scrambled eggs? Sassy has been getting over a difficult spay, which included a trip to the vet yesterday for dehydration. She has not been wanting to eat at all. Would it hurt to add some scrambled eggs to her food this evening to interest her in her food? This morning she ate about an ounce of wet food and then pretended to bury the rest. I need some ideas to get her to eat. She had subcu. fluids yesterday so she isnt very thirsty but I do keep encouraging her to drink as well. I just want my baby better |

| It is fine to give her a little scambled egg she will probably enjoy them. It is normal for them to not eat after a spay

| That would be fine. Could remove the yolk so fat is less of a concern. Probably better to scrable them with water instead of milk. Boneless skinless chicken breast with fat removed (cut up in her food) would be fine. Could mix it with white rice or sweet potato and skip the regular diet for a few days.

| I will try scrambling with water. This is her 6th day after spay, that is what is the concern. She was on pain medication but the vet thinks that the spay/neuter clinic put her on too heavy of a dose. Poor girl! |

| If you are worried about her water consumption at any point as well, if you give some rice, make it wet and mushy. That's what I'm doing for Harley right now who is having stomach problems.

| Lucy loves scrambled eggs - I don't use milk or water - just beat the eggs well and cook them. (A little trick I got from Martha Stewart)

| Scrambled eggs are fine. My girls had them for breakfast this morning with cheese and summer squash. (I sauteed the squash then poured the eggs over them and added some cheese. Just beat the eggs adding nothing else. Add just drop of olive oil to the skillet to keep eggs from sticking too much.

| She eats some wet food every now and then. Will that keep her from getting dehydrated? |

| Hope your baby gets to feeling better real soon. Its funny, but mine will not eat scrambled eggs. They love boiled eggs but thats it. I thought that was so strange because most dogs love them scrambled. Mine also loves ice and I just thought to try to keep your baby hydrated even ice chips might help. |
