Hey! thanks for sharing ur story! Jack Russell are awesome dogs too! This is my 4 Yorkie. Well 2 are my sisters but we live together, so the dogs are always together! the oldest Yorkie (my sis dog) is 16 years old and weighs only 3 lb! My first Yorkie she is 4 years old and weighs 5 lb(the one in my display pic). My sisters second Yorkie is 2 years old and weighs 2.8 lb. & now the baby of the family is 15 weeks and weighs 18.5 oz! I think I found him a name but im still thinking on it . At first I was going for Elijah Eli for short, but then my grandma said what about Rin-tin-tin! so for now his name is Rin-tin-tin

Jett is 22 weeks old this week and has been sticking pretty close to the growth chart as well. At 12 weeks he weighed 1 pound 4 ozs. (maybe) (I didn't get him until 14 weeks and was 1 pound 8 ozs then.) This morning he was 2 pounds. So I am thinking he will probably get to be 3 pounds give or take. He is a VERY VERY tiny little guy, very small features, tiny legs and head. (Bella was quite a bit sturdier in appearance. But is still pretty tiny in the scheme of things.)

Bella was one of 7 in the litter. She was the smallest female in the litter, but there were two smaller males. Bellas Mom was 6 pounds and her dad was 4. Jett was one of 2 puppies in the litter, and he was the little one, by about 1/2 a pound at 12 weeks. Jetts mom was 5 pounds and his dad was 2.5.

He can be neutered safely, but wait until his growth plates are closed. Also, make sure you find a vet that follows the recommended anesthesia protocol for Yorkies.

Growth plates? I have had really bad experiences with anesthesia

Isn't he precious! Check out that tongue. Both my girls have that. Abbey has always had a tongue too big for her mouth and Mattie is a senior with a few teeth missing to hold the tongue in!

What a adorable baby what is his name? I think he will probably stay very small as an adult. Gosh when I brought home my Suzi a 9 weeks, she went to the vet, and was already 3 pounds. LOL .

Haha, lol. Thanks! He also has had his tongue out, & i love it . He isn't that sweet lol, he bites for every thing, but if he is sleepy he will cuddle. Of Course i dont let him bite me as much, But he starts to scream & bit if he sees his comb I think his first grooming experience wasn't a good one. But he will definitely get the best care in my hands. I graduated Pet grooming.

Thank you, i will. i like the name Eli too. But im just going to stick with Rin-tin-tin (4 now ). Thanks, that Yorkie is my first, she is 4 years old. How old is ur furbaby?
