The Prisoners of Greed site will guide on how to organize a pet store protest which is probably the best way to deal with the situation in California if you have a pet store in your area that gets it's puppies from a puppymill.

You can also boycott the AKC since they do NOTHING to stop puppymills and continue to register their puppies, making them easier to sell and more valuable to pet stores amd puppymillers.

Oh, I am sorry I meant on the YT site. As you know many people come to this website to learn as much as they can about Yorkies. I just thought that some of them might be curious enough to read some of this information before they bought their Yorkie at a petshop. Even some members did not know this was going on because it is kept such a deep, dark ugly secret. Just food for thought.

Here is a picture of my friend Marlene rescuing a Fox Terrier . This picture from yesterday . Unfortunately , all the dogs have been euthanazied due to their poor health .

I got CHILLS reading your responses and you guys Rock !! That is the reaction I was looking for....We all love yorkies sooooo much and I know how many big hearts are on this site and....we never know who will be listening if we speak out.

Imagine if 3 of us tell 3 people... who tell 3 people.... who tell 3....you get the picture....Your friend is a HERO rescuing dogs...she must spend alot of time crying...I'd love to shake her hand though and you can tell her that ...what a special friend you have girl !!

I felt to make an impact, pictures talk.... and I realize many of us really don't know what goes on when we see those cute Pet Store Puppies - posting pictures of the moms and dads was drastic..... but I want to see us go back into the outrage and try to help !!

Disturbing....yes? But they bring it home! The reality of what those puppy mills are doing needs to be brought to everyone's attention? That third picture especially turned my stomach!! POOR BABIES!!!!!

Thanks Villette for the terrible but true eye opener. I saw the origional post, and just kinda said, oh, well....bad me...but after seeing your pics and some of those stories, I got so mad and sick at the same time. I wrote to my congressman here in Cal, and I hope it does some good. Can you keep writing letter to them? I will do it again, and maybe I will copy and paste your letter, if that is okay with you.

This is extremely hard on Marlene to rescue those poor little ones and yes , she cry a lot after a rescue . She was the one who bring me Nathan , you should see her face when she come home and see him . She is very proud of the cares that I give Nathan .

YES - you are welcome to copy any of my posts or letters about puppy mills - I always kept MASTER letters in my computer so I didn't have to keep re-typing...some have been lost... but I would be happy to write them again or post them if needed. Other members have written some great letters too...

I am so upset by those pictures...I feel sorry for any dog that cant roam in a beautiful yard and be loved and petted and fed...what can we do to stop this?????? I dont even know what to say or how to feel other then utter outrage!!! :(

These poor dogs don't even know what a KIND human touch is...they only know misery, pain, lonliness & fear.....death is probably a blessing to them...can you imagine that ? :( :( :( The worst thing is - it doesn't have to happen...

They live in these horrible conditions so we PEOPLE can buy cute puppies in Pet Stores. That is just sick.

it sickens me to read what these sickos do to those poor doggies.
over here in the uk we call them puppy farms but there the same.
theres a pet shop near me who get there pups from a puppy farm and theres forever protests outside the shop and i join in, what id like to do is get the owner of the shop and do to him what he has done to those babies, i try and help out as often as i can, what id like to do is rescue the poor souls from those places and find them new forever homes, but family and friends say id be no good at that as id be trying to beat the people who did it to the doggies where your ment to just save the doggies and say nothing to the owners and leave that to the RSPCA and id have to say something.
all i say is these people will have to pay for this in heaven when they die

As harsh as some people might think these pictures are I have seen a lot worse photos and videos and they should consider themselves lucky that these are all they have seen thus far. Puppy mills are a growing disease in this nation and MUST be stopped NOW! There are NO excuses! These dogs (and cats) do not deserve these so called "lives" they are being forced to endure. And we are the only ones who can stop them. Spread the word and spread awareness. :mad:
