![]() Sorry I haven't gotten back to you all. I recounted my pills & thank goodness she didn't eat one. It must have been something else I heard her eating. She slept good last night & hasn't shown any signs of eating this pill,i.e. peeing alot(not). Thanks for all the concern & advice. This is a wonderful site.

| ![]() I've had my IG puppy grab two different pills my mother, who lives with me, dropped. One was a cymbalta and I don't remember what the other was. I grabbed the hydrogen peroxide, the kind you use on wounds, and gave her a syringe full. It was like magic! Both times she threw up the hp and pill. The pills came up intact and still the original color. It was amazing. After totally freaking out and reading my poor mother the riot act, it hasn't happened again, thank heaven.

![]() Oh, thank goodness. Oh, what a relief! I am weak with relief as I thought that pill could probably cause death very quickly in such a small little dog if it has a similar pharacological action in dogs as it does in humans. Good news!

![]() What a relief. You have to be so careful when you take meds that you don't drop them. My Yorkie Zach got a hold of one of my Metformins that I take for diabeties. Thank God my room mate found it in his mouth before he bit into it. No I take the pills over the basin in the bathroom to make sure I don't drop them on the floor or bed.

![]() As you all do, I try to be so careful with transferring a pill from the bottle as I am pretty sure anything I take would be a certain death sentence for Tibbe. I have been training him for quite some time to "Leave It! " and "Bad! Uh-oh!" when I hold a pill of mind out to his nose to try to instill some type of automatic/reactionary avoidance response, if I can. He has always snorted when I hold a pill of mine toward his nose and then he turns his head and backs off, so with the attempts at training, I am hoping he will learn a pill is something he should avoid and turn from. And I know it will likely confuse him when I have to administer a veterinary pill to him but I had rather he be confused and learn to avoid pills. I hope it will work.

![]() I know it must be confusing to them what they can have and not have. They don't understand vitamins are different than meds. I was going through so much trying to get Tina to take her lasix and she takes one for her heart. Finally, I just crush them and put them in her dog food and works out so much better than trying to get a pill down her. BTW, you can't imagine how happy I am that baby is okay. I know it must have been a scary thing to go through.
