| ![]() I am going away for a couple of weeks the end of March. My husband and I were going together and flying to Florida to stay with our son, now he can't go, so I can't take the puppies in cabin (one in-cabin pet per ticket), and as I would never put them in baggage, they have to stay home with him....here's my problem.....Mr. Darcy is a lot more self sufficient - he does like to lie beside me in the evening, but Miss Lizzie is 'stuck' to me most of time. If I get my coat and boots - she's right there looking up at me and running to the door, and when I go outside I can hear her crying!! Will she be OK??????? It's going to spoil my time away worrying about what she is thinking.... ![]()

| ![]() I too worried when I left my Elsa to go out of town, one time was a month! I thought she just could not exist without me...hahaha...joke on me. It was the other way around. I worried so much about her like.. is she depressed, not eating, probably pooping and peeing everywhere in the house out of retaliation..but no!! You are not leaving her with a stranger, your little one knows your husband so I do not think there should be a major problem. Go, have fun I bet your son misses you too!!! |

| ![]() I know your feeling, but have no suggestions. I feel the same as you although I haven't yet left mine for over 8-10 hours. I agree with babbsiam44 go visit your son and enjoy and I am sure hubby will fill in while you are gone. |

| ![]() I understand just how you feel. Last month I went toSeattle to visit my daughter and Bubba and Sissy stayed home with dh. When I was leaving I made a fuss and was close to tears leaving them (my fault) and by the time dh got home from taking me to the plane (25 min) Sissy had diarrhea all over the rug. When I go away, I always leave my bathrobe on the bed-my husband said that comforts them at night-they sleep on top of it. I miss them so much when I'm away but the coming home kisses are wonderful.

| ![]() Can they both fit in a air line approved carrier? I took both mine to Oregon on Southwest airlines. I had to pay $75.00 for each dog. I have an airline approved snoozer carrier on wheels that fits under the seat. They were very confortable in that on there two hour flight. You might check with the airline you are flighing with to see if that is possible. My yorkies are both under five pounds. Linda, Sassy and Patti |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() I never use to go on vacations because I didn't want to leave my dog/dogs. I reluctantly agreed to go an a vacation to Arizona 2 summers ago and left my 3 girls with my 23 year old dtr. They all did fine. They were happy to see me return but they all survived. My husband and I had a great time. We are going next month to Az and my dtr is coming back home to watch all 4 (She moved to her own place last october.) I worry more about her cleaning up after all 4 and poopy buts lol. Most dogs do fine and just sleep most if the time. Try and enjoy your trip.

| ![]() I've had to leave Shadow several times with my husband. While she is definitely MY DOG, she is very comfortable with my husband. Only problem? She's not quite as "tidy" when I get home. But otherwise she is fine. It's a bummer when your plans get messed up, but that's life, right? Have a good visit with your son knowing that they are in good hands. |

YT Addict | ![]() Is it not amazing how our babies control so much of our lives, I feel the same way about leaving my baby. I 've only left him home with hubby once for a week, hardest week in my life. We use skype a lot so I at least got to see him everyday. Other times he flys with me, But everything I do I have to consider my baby in all plans. ![]() ![]()
