Need advice ! Hello again everyone. I am sure many of you have had the same problem that we are now experiencing. We have just adopted a wonderful 2lb female bundle of joy ( Carly ) who is now approaching her 14th wk. we have now had her two weeks. Problem is that her 3yr old male brother (BRODY ) is not having a very good time accepting her. At first he ignored her completely and would stay away and acted as if he were terrified of her. On the other hand terrified Carly sees Brody, she charges at him like a banshee and he runs away like the dickens. It seems like Brody wants to now engage her slowly but she keeps antagonizing him by jumping, snapping and being a general pain. He has now taken to barking at her and almost seems ready to retaliate....I don't want him to hurt her....he is generally a very gentle loving animal...the best we have ever had. It seems patience is what is needed but there must be a pro active way to get our two siblings to unite without all the drama. Any and all suggestions welcome.....thanx much.... |
Have patience. Separate the two when you cannot supervise. Here a couple of very good threads for you to read: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...-any-tips.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...iends-not.html |
