I had her move to the floor because I got up a few minutes ago and she was trying to jump down to follow me so I moved every blanket and extra pillow I have to the floor for her. So here's a pic of her and her pile of comfy stuff.... http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/z..._7981504_n.jpg

Awwww, what we do for those babies we love...Like you, that's why I slept on the floor...I didn't want her to think about jumping up or down, and I knew she would stay right by me, because she didn't feel good...If she's not sick, she's very independant, but when she doesn't feel good, she wants her mommy...Did they give her something for pain? I only gave it to Apple for one day, because I could tell she didn't like the way it made her feel...Cha Cha did great, and I gave her pain meds for a couple of days...This time Monday, you'll have to be watching her, 'cause she'll be wanting to bounce around! | |

| ![]() No they didn't give me any pain meds. They said they didn't recommend it because she shouldn't be in that much pain. Which right now she doesn't seem to be. She got up for a few to drink some water and took a bite of food then she laid back down. Her shivering that I mentioned earlier has stopped and she quit the whimpering except when my parents came down to check on her and we had to help her on the couch so she wouldn't jump. But all in all she just seems like a much calmer version of my crazy puppy.

| ![]() I have never had a vet give pain meds for spay/neuter...you want them to feel some discomfort and not run around jumping and playing like nothing happened.. Dogs can in no way feel the same pain as humans...mine come home fully alert and ready to eat..go up and down steps, on and off the couch like nothing happened...I had a simple appendix out when I was a teen and could not walk up steps for days...couldn't bend over... Pinkie was spayed on Monday and she just ran down the hall to the kitchen when she heard the fridge open... |

| ![]() So right now Silver is sleeping and I am about to sleep soon also, but I have a question. She hasn't messed with her stitches at all today so they didn't put a cone on her and I didn't put the onesie on her since she wasn't messing with them. But a little bit ago she started trying to mess with them and I don't want her to bother them while I'm sleeping so I was going to put the onesie on her. But how exactly do I put it on a dog lol? Do I do it like you do a baby? Because I figured if you snap it she can't go potty. So what do I do??

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() Just seeing this. Glad she is doing ok after her spay. I put the onsie on and then snap the underneath part to one side so they can pee.

Yorkie Talker | ![]() That was the hardest part for me was to leave her for an entire night for observation! The next day (0900) was the longest day for me and I felt so bad and sad the night before, but a kid waiting for the candy shop to open up so that I could pick up my baby girl! Prayers for a quick recovery and peace for you at night for yoru first time away from your beautiful creature! |

| ![]() Thanks Patti! We ended up cutting the flap parts off because she was getting aggravated so it just looks like a long gown and now she's left it alone. And Gigi she didn't have to stay the night at the vet, she came home about 8hrs after her spay.

| ![]() I'm so glad to hear your sweet baby is doing well. It's always a worry when the vet has to administer anesthesia. She will be just like new before you know it. In the meantime, you can pamper her even more than ususal. ![]()
