| Scoober did so good! Scoober seemed to have ear issues over the weekend. He gets chronic ear infections. Head shaking, and ear sensitivity seemed worth taking him in, in the immediate even though he wasn't showing signs of infection like before... So we just got back from his first visit with the new vet...go figure we go in for an issue before we have time for the meet and greet-isn't that how it goes though. He did so good especially considering he absolutely hates having his nails or his ears touched! He sat and was super friendly for the exam with the vet and technician-no marking in their office or fear, just interest in the new place and new people. We did use the soft muzzle for the vet looking into his ears and the technician cleaning them out...but he whimpered only when she did the ear exam and never growled or even turned to bite! He had pretty darn plugged ears with debris-I feel so bad I know we haven't been the groomer in a couple months (over the holidays) but geez we go in like this and he has dirty ears-not to mention the roll in the dirt before we made it out the yard to the car... So he does have a bacterial infection-again-8 drops twice a day of Tresaderm 10 days and Metacam once a day for 7 days and a follow up in one week! Poor Scoobers did so good and vet said his left ear was really red...glad i didn't wait and got him in-bummed we waited over the weekend now considering... I'm just so proud of how well he now handles his fear aggression-my brave lil Scoobers is such a tough guy! |
