My hair VS scissor stories start the exact same way.

It's always the girls who are either cutting their own hair or cutting the hair the baby sister/brother or in this case the doggy.

Last time I was getting a cut and color there was a little girl who had given herself a haircut. She had hair to the middle of her back~well except on the right side which was at her ear level. Lots and lots of sobbing by the little girl (and her mommma) when they told her she would need 6" cut off to even it out. I couldn't help but smile thinking about myself and every friend who has a little girl that went through the same thing. memories

Thank you for that word. I guess it did spark a "few" memories. I need to call my daughters right now and have a laugh!!!

not only girls my grandson would cut his in a minute when he was just a lil thing he would cut his own hair never no one else until he was older if he said haircut you had better find someone fast or he would do it his self as he got older one summer he cut all of the boys around here even a lil girl her mom was not to happy with my grandson and to this day he gets his cut about every 3 weeks

Well, before you do anything take a photo! It'll be funny in the future (to you, I mean, cause I'm already laughing). Then I would even it out and start again. My kids are no strangers to the scissors and hair-cutting - they just did their own!

thanks for the memories he is 22 now

My boys (22 and 24

) also had the DIY hair cuts when they were young but my daughter

Everything is so much more drama filled with little (and big) girls too.

Good that it was safety scissors! I guess that is why they make them, to keep little girls fairly safe (and yorkies

) - at least they didn't have sharp points.

I would cut it all off and make it even.

I had experience with safety scissors too...and it cuts hair so take them away my daughter so she doesn't cut her own hair next for sure.

I had to take them away from my daughter and she's 27 now..she gave our purdy cat a cut...and the darn cat didn't even mind he was on her lap purring which is how he got his name.

awww, I totally understand how you feel. My bf ALWAYS cut their hair and sometimes it's hard to put it into a topknot cuz it's too short. I tell him not to, but he still does it. I really have to start hiding the scissors!

I remember cutting things when I was young...I always cut my barbies' hair. haha I never had dogs or cats, but I'm sure I would probably have given them a haircut if I had one.

Eeeek! I'm glad she only got the hair

I would definitely cut it off to make it even. It's hair...it will grow back. That's the beautiful thing about the sucky haircuts us "humans" get too!

Ohh, what a bummer heatherly! Is there enough of the longer hair left to do a 'Donald Trump swirl'? lol I bet you are upset. I would be too. Not much you can do now, but make the best of it till it can grow in again. Ya never know what these kids are gonna do next. So sorry this happened.
