I did, and we smile everytime we look at Basil! We are so glad we found YT for the education, and finding the absolute best of the best breeder and support group if we need advice. To me, you can't put a price on that. Sure, somethings can go wrong, but at least I know we did everything we could to lower the odds, and knowing that our breeder will be there for us. Also, nice talking to other show breeders that speak so highly and show so much respect. Sometimes it is just best to wait rather than do the impulsive buy. Anyway, that is my advice. But the breeder first, them the pup. |

awwe! i'm glad the puppy phased its peeing on himself phase out of it. my breeder has a lot of dogs but she also has 2 full time help because she shows dogs & also owns a doggy daycare business a well. but if she is doing it out of her own house, i doubt she has help and it sounds very off. like the above member stated the word teacup is not a good sign. |

Some genetic conditions do NOT manifest until after a couple of years old, and even 5 years old in some cases. It is one reason I think while at a bare minimum, a one year health warranty is disingenuous for this breed, and for many others. |

Strange...You emailed an update and didn't get a response...perhaps you should email about interest in a pup from a different email address...she may respond within 30 minutes... Superficially who knows good bad either-I'd not the word teacup is used...and there's tons of glamor shots (thankfully no soda can pics) but none of the facility, the pups with mom, or pups being pups dogs being dogs-I no likey-but that's my prerogative. It happens and I know how you feel-it stinks-but we love our babies! Not only research asking Q's but verifying people Elvis came from a bad breeder same deal asked all the questions she gave all the right answers, she asked me apparently I did too... Elvis arrived: bad teeth worms-whip worms he had all 3 stages present in his within 48hr vet health check tons of flea poop on him, he's arthritic-needs supplements his joint all pop @ 2 yrs! Not breeding quality! his AKC papers never arrived-she refused to send the limited registration even! his full veterinary records never arrive as promised (he was 2 yrs) when adopted he was wearing a tight collar in the kennel! It was well worn-collar and his neck! he wasn't microchipped had x & o dyed kibble in the bowl not Eukanuba Well I let it all go right she had tons of excuses and was going to get it all to me and back to me! I should have freaked then but how could I send him back to that? A couple months after he had three seizures in a day-trip to the ER and numerous calls to the breeder-she blamed them on me immediately and then said the worms were from me too, she'd had enough from me! Then offered me a replacement puppy! She said she was re-homing him because he was almost 10 pounds-too large to breed with her 5-6pound females...I thought that was responsible and adopted him...then after the replacement pup comments she says, "oh no my female just had two babies...I bred them before I put him up for adoption." WHAT!? She was such a LIAR Oh it went on from there...she later ended all contact after a big mess offering me another pup and sending me pics of pup and moms in cages! I felt sick! She refused to let the vet release his records...I think she knew he was epileptic and she lied about all her breeding practices...literally everyone of her females was pregnant or just delivered within three months of my getting Elvis she told me she only has two litters a year-not 7-12 and she still lists MY Elvis as a stud on her web site saying he is the father of current pups she sells! [BI doubt she warned the buyers of his pups they may be epileptic having cluster seizures like Elvis does! [/B] Elvis had the neurology consult-I wasn't getting another pup from her, wasn't sending him back, never asked for vet money coverage, nothing we ceased contact I just wanted to let her know how he was-she didn't even care to know-she had told me prior he was her favorite but she just had too many to give individual attention and since he was too large for her breeding program she needed to ensure he went to a good home and each dog got the attention they needed-WELL HE DID GO TO A GOOD HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE! Don't get a pup here either-notice MY Elvis still listed Elaina Shelborne is a Greeder LIAR! She's just very good at deception-I listed her FB too as she often uses that to sell pups when she doesn't use her site, puppyfinder and those at dog shows-she doesn't show she just claims to. If she didn't champion her own males does that make Remy any less quality? Just wondering. |

Concretegurl- I'm sorry Elvis had so many problems. I'm glad to hear he has a good home now :). Remy came to me clean and healthy. I do believe the breeder takes good care of her puppies. She just has a LOT of puppies a year and a lot of breeding females(I think 12). I also have Remy's limited AKC papers and all other records. |
