Reasons why we LOVE YT! With all the negative comments about YT circulating both on and off the forum, I thought it might be nice to remind ourselves and each other of all the reasons why we came here and what we have learned, and how YT has made our lives better! I will start: I came here because my aunt told me about it. I was looking for a puppy and along the way felt like I was being picked on and that people here were unfair to me. What I came to realize is that I was in the wrong and was about to make a mistake that would really cost me. I made a decision to purchase her anyways and have lived with that decision. Since learning my lesson the hard way I have come back to YT after a short time away and have been shown more love and compassion than anyone can possibly imagine. This place is home. You are my friends and I can talk to you about anything. I am amazed at how much you give to me each day in advice, time, love, and even actual gifts sent to me. I thank you so much for loving me enough to teach me the hard way and then graciouly accepting me back into your groups after I learned my lesson. YT is the best place for me and I love it very much!! |
The support here is amazing! The members come together when one's baby is sick or if the member just needs advice to purchase products. And many come to show their compassion when needed. I found YorkieTalk when Rosie was sick. I googled her symptoms and YorkieTalk came up. I am so glad it did. I have turned to you all for advice, product support, and for fun. I am glad that we all found each other. :) |
I have made friends.. I was talking about yorkie talk to a friend at work today. She started laughing and said, I have not seen you so happy about something (I was talking about the GE, posting picture of Remy in her new kb bad and just the laughs I have had) in a long time. I thought, yes I do enjoy a lot of the "stuff". Of course some of the sad story get to me, but I laugh, I have made friends-- meaning people I can ask advice of and chat with at night-- Admin keeps it running smooth. That is why I love Yorkie Talk!!!!! |
YorkieTalk.com is the best site on the web, filled with information, friends, wonderful stories and great pictures of Yorkies and other dogs. I feel richer for having found it and I will not hesitate to say that I feel physically better every time I visit the site and read postings. I love the passion of the people here and appreciate how much they share. I think my dog Tibbe will be healthier and safer for all of the things I've learned here in a very short time. Ya'll think of everything and from every viewpoint. |
I love that this site reminds you of what people are willing to do for their animals and even what they will do for others animals. The wealth of knowledge members have, and the willingness to help anyone that comes to the site for help. The amount of compassion, love, and overall passion members have for this breed just seeps through. And the overall feeling of family, a GREAT big one :D I also love that members are so dedicated to getting the word out about bad breeding practices, puppy mills... that YT has all these rumors being spread. I think that something is being done right :) |
I love YT because I forget about all my "chores" I need to do, if you call it chores at 40 something. Bed gets made 10 minutes before DH comes home...am I kidding...hmmm? For real, it's my home away from home. The knowledgeable people up here amazes me and I feel like I am back at school... just learning away. Thank you, thank you..........Barbara |
I just love to read everyone's different approaches to solving health and behavioral problems. I try to keep an open mind and look forward to learning something new on yt. I, especially, love the social aspect of yt. It's fun to make new friends with people, who have the same love of yorkies that I have had for many, many years.:) |
I learned so much about yorkies here; about what to feed Lucy; so many things about yorkies and rescue. This is my evening 'escape' when I wind down and check in just to read up and see what's what. It's wonderful to be able to connect with other yorkie and dog lovers. I love seeing the pictures AND, got some pretty great vendors on here as well. Ok ~ off to actually play WITH Lucy and Ringo! |
I've learned so much in such a small amount of time. I owe that all to you guys here at YT. I've made a friend or two also...My adoration for yorkies has grown as a result of everyone here. I feel better knowing there are other people like me out there...I would give my kidney for my babies and I know you guys would too. That's why I :love: YT! |

I found YT when my first yorkie was sick and I needed advice and friendship. The support I received after he passed was like a much needed hug. I didn't feel so alone grieving my beloved pet. Now, I have another yorkie, Trixie and YT once again has provided me with advice, friendship and fun (ge). It is a wonderful place to be able to visit and find other yorkie lovers. YT is such a great resource for info specific to yorkies. So many members and so much yorkie experience. I enjoy reading all the posts, even if I don't agree with them all, it's still interesting & informative to get different perspectives. I love how supportive members are of those going through a difficult time with their pup. And where else can you find a group of people who understand the heart swelling love we feel for our furbabies, and don't think we're crazy because of it :p |
i don't remember how i found yt. i just know i was scouring the web for every tidbit of info i could find so i could be the best mom possible to my coming pup. i love the site, where else on the web can you get exact info and advice tuned to yorkies? it's easy to browse, having search capabilities makes it so wonderful....plus i love seeing other people that are as passionate about their lil ones as i am! a lot of people think i'm crazy, i'm sure, when i talk about how smart & loving princess is. people here understand how much i love her, that she is not JUST a dog. i'm really glad i found the site and plan to stick around. :D:aimeeyork:) |
Honestly, I thought this site was silly. Then I started visiting more. Then I got Kaji and I simply never left. YT, especially a few special members have helped me so much in understanding my furry companion and how I was feeding into his neurotic behaviors. :rolleyes: I've made online friends, real life friends, and found a very good place to escape to when I just need a break. I love YT!!!! |
