| I just had to share this I am a single mom of 3 as some of you know. My kids are aged 13, 10, and 9. I have been divorced for 6 years from a very abusive controlling man. It was such a blessing to leave that marriage. I have been in one relationship since then. I thought I had met Mr. Right! WRONG! We dated for several years and then this summer, he came home one night and said he had decided that he didnt think he could be a step-parent....Nice that he decided that several years into a relationship...but what are ya gonna do!!! (I was devestated but deal with this by being coy) I have just recently started dating again and it is NO PICNIC!! I make it known that not only do I have 3 kids who come first in my life, I have two puppies who run a close second Last night, this man that I have been out with several times wanted to come over to watch a movie and meet the kids and puppies. I was nervous about it, but agreed. Anyway, he met the kids and that was going well, so I asked Joseph, my youngest to let the puppies out of the x-pen! They get so excited when they meet someone new! Deb ran to him first and leaped into his lap (literally) and then Maya made her first successful jump onto the couch! He was a little surprised by their energy and in a split second they jumped on him and then knocked his soda over...all over him...and the carpet!! He was a good sport about it....but I was embarrassed! Ah well, he passed the first test...he didnt run from the kids...or the pups Now lets see if he calls again

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I wish you the BEST OF LUCK !!! I'm really happy for you - living with a control freak or abuse just has to be the most helpless emotionally devestating feeling - and when kids are involved it's even harder to get out of - Congratulate yourself for getting out of that and INTO a brand new life and you go girl !!! IT sounds wonderful for you. |

| LOL thats good that he didn't run out the door- WHEN he calls back tell him it could have been worse one of them could have pee'd on him! If your kids and dogs both liked him that is a plus. Good luck, I've been down that long dating road with, kids and pets too. There is light at the end of the tunnel- just don't settle for anyone less than who you are looking for. "He" will be worth the wait!!!!

| Thanks for the words of encouragement Being free of my ex husband is such a relief! I look back on that part of my life and wonder how I ever found myself in that position and how I managed to stay for 13 years.....thankfully I found the strength to kick his sorry butt out I have never regretted it for one minute....even with all the struggles!
