| Trimming hair on feet I'm grooming Remy myself in hopes that he will have a long coat. I'm not sure what to do with his feet? How do you cut the hair on the bottom of the feet in between the pads? If anyone has pictures of their yorkie's feet that would be helpful. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to shave the top of the foot or just trim it.

YT 1000 Club Member | I've seen it done both ways... And if I were to want to let either of mne coats grow out, I think I would trim up the paw a little, letting the toes and nails be more free of hair. I think that would make the grooming down there a lot easier, specially if they were out in the yard much, mud, like that.

| my yorkies Thank you for the advice. I drive a truck, and because I don't brush thier hair like I need to, they were starting to look terrible. So I took them to another groomer, supposed to be the best around, according to my vet , but they did me the same way the others did me!!! I don"t like that schnauzer look on my dogs, but I cannot find a groomer to understand this. I waited two years, before I went again. Thinking the highend groomer would get it! She said she don't do that, but she did! I'm just going to learn to groom myself, and buckelunder, and brush more. I wanted a puppycut, but can't get any groomer around here to know what it is. I would love to find a descent groomer, they are few, and far between, and I'm just gonna have to do it myself ! What you said, will help in the paw dept. ha! |

| i understand what you mean. i'm going back to grooming my girls myself after our groomer cut off thier topknots off right before christmas! i had been to the same place before with no problems and was so happy with them. they even had what i wanted and always get wrote down from before so i don't get why they would cut off thier topknots. i even had one in both of them when i dropped them off! thier cuts otherwise were okay, but it broke my heart thier topknots were gone! zowi's cut was way too short. best of luck grooming yourself and wish me luck!

| Oh, my God!!! Now I'm pretty easy to get along with, but I think I would go off on someone who cut off a topknot! Thats beyond resonable! You poor thing, I feel so bad about that! Mine had notes too! IKNOW NOW I'LL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER GROOMER!!!!!! |
