Show Yorkies in full coat have their paws trimmed level with the floor. Trim the hair in the outline of the paw. The underside of the pad should be trimmed so that the pads easily hit the floor without hair curling underneath. My boys don't have thick hair in their pads, so I don't have to worry about dirt and debris accumulating there. For pups with thick hair, more work is required to trim the hair in between the pads.
