| 5 Weeks old and ripped away from mom! I was at the vets office yesterday and while waiting to schedule my next appointment I saw the cutest tiniest puppy in a crate. So I cooed obviously. The lady told me her yorkie had passed away and that she bought the one she currently had, which was seven weeks old, from a friend. She pointed out that her two grandchildren which were currently with her (about 2 &3 yrs old) were each given one. It alarmed me that the puppy was only seven weeks, and also that her extremely young grandchildren each had a puppy, too. I asked her when she had taken the puppy away from its mom and she said FIVE WEEKS OLD!! I asked her why and she said because the mom wouldn't let them nurse anymore. UGH. I mentioned that I learned that it wasn't healthy for puppies to be taken away from their mothers at such a young age because they still need to learn from them and their siblings. Well, she brushed it off and said no, that he would be fine. It really, really, kills me. The poor puppy!! Well, no, puppieS! Shame on the breeder for letting clueless owners take the babies so early. I was so sad when I left the vet clinic I just went off ranting to my poor boyfriend.

| That's too bad for everyone involved but especially the puppy who won't know how to get along with other dogs or who might be "in trouble" for doing something he won't realize is wrong because he wasn't taught by momma and siblings. Teresa |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | WOW 5 weeks old! I brought Poppy home at 6 weeks old but was lied to about her age, I would have never knowingly took her at 6 weeks. I was assured she was 8 weeks old, which I know know is still far too young, untill I checked out her DOB on her paperwork. Very sad when someone dosnt seem to care...

| I shudder to think of what's going to happen to this puppy. I don't know who is dumber the breeder for selling such young puppies or the grandmother who thinks it's okay to give puppies to such young children. But if that isn's dumb and dumber I don't know what it. |

| Saying prayers for the puppies. May they grow up healthy and happy and with no issues due to their circumstances.
