I have no idea what my new little rescue is! 2 Attachment(s) I just got my new baby on Saturday. I found an ad in the paper from someone saying they couldn't afford to take care of her anymore and since I have wanted a yorkie forever, I decided to get her. I am suspecting now that the person I got her from was a dog flipper since I cant get a hold of them. She told me she had her vet records but couldn't find them. I kind of knew then that this lady was full of it but I saw this dog and I felt so bad for her that I wasn't leaving without her. The lady I got her from told me she was a purebred yorkie and was 2. I took my new baby (Daisy) to the vet yesterday and they have no idea what she is but they think she is about 4. I don't regret getting her at all because she is a total love bug, I would just love to know what she is! When I got her, she was in horrible shape and I could tell right away she wasn't being taken care of. Her fur was SO MATTED and SO HUNGRY!! I gave her a bath and spent all day Sunday brushing her (she is going to the groomer tomorrow). As a result of me getting all the mats out, her hair is a giant frizz ball. She is tiny...6lbs but she has long legs. She has blue hair in the back..white and tan in the front and her ears are floppy. What do you think she could be? |
Hi and Welcome to YT! A Yorkie. :D |
Looks yorkish to me.. and as long as she is loved it doesn't really matter. My seller didn't have the "papers" either and my baby is Yorkie all over. I don't give a hoot, I love him to pieces.:aimeeyork:love: |
aww what a sweet baby!! poor little thing!! I can't wait to see her after she's been groomed!!! looks yorkie to me...maybe with a little mix of something else. make sure to post groomed pics of her!:D Did they give her to you? |
Bless your heart for taking in this little one. She looks Yorkie like to me also. I watched and took care of a Yorkie-Silkie mix for a little while and she looked similar to your new baby. Congratulations!! :D Welcome to YT! |
When I saw the ad, they wanted a re-homing fee of 75.00- just to make sure whoever got her was serious. When we got there and I saw her, the lady suddenly wanted 200 since she "found" her bed, toys, a few clothes, brush, leash and shampoo/conditioner. At that point, I had a feeling this baby was in trouble because she was shaking and so dirty so we paid it. I would have paid anything to save her though. It was worth it. She is a sweetheart and at least now she has a nice house and a family who loves her :) |
She is ADORABLE, Congrats on saving her... She looks like a Yorkie to me!!! My Yorkie has floppy ears too, I LOVE them.. If you do plan on taking her to the groomers make sure you are very specific of what you want.. If you plan on Keeping her hair long and want to put in a topknot and bow , MAKE sure you tell them... She is very very cute , Congrats:D |
She is adorable and looks quite comfortable in your home! She look Yorkie to me as well. |
Awwwwww!!! Daisy is precious...she is SO LUCKY to have you!!!! You are so sweet to take her in!!! Love her all up!!! I'm sure you already have!!! She def looks yorkie to me as well. I'm sure in time, you can plump her up too since she is so hungry!!!:( I would have had a few "words" for the previous ownerif I was the one to see her in such bad shape under their care!!!! JERKS!!! Welcome!!! XOXO- Viv |
Congratulations. Looks Yorkie-ish to me. But honestly, does it really matter? She's precious and really needed a good loving home. Looks like she's found one. When we adopted Buddy, we had no idea if he was full blooded or not. Didn't matter then and doesn't matter now. He's part of the family. I'll bet she made herself at home Saturday and each day she has taken over more and more. By the end of the week, you'll be dressing her in sweaters (ugh), and showing her off to everyone! Thanks for the rescue! |

She looks like a very content little baby. Congrats to you for rescuing her from that environment. |
Looks like a Yorkie to me, she just has (non-standard) floppy ears. My two have floppy ears, too. |
I think she's a.........DORABLE! My daughter wishes our yorkie's ears had stayed floppy, and I agree that they look so cute that way. Enjoy her! (And she looks so stylish in her new colorful sweater:)) |
She's all Yorkie and a very pretty one too!! If that owner had her listed in any ad for $75.00, then that is what I would have told her I would pay, and she can keep the bed and toys!!! I'm happy you are giving this precious little soul a loving home. I'd also make sure the groomer takes her soon as you get there, and you stay to watch. This will be much easier on Daisy. At this time leaving her there would be traumatic for her since she's already had a big change in her life. |
Hi and Welcome! Here is what she is....DARLING! She looks yorkie to me and what a little baby doll. She is just precious and knows she is finally home! What did you name her? Sorry, I see her name is Daisy. She is a real sweet pie. |
Poor little thing. Good for you adopting her. You can do a doggie DNA for around $70.00. I adopted a rescue from the Bichon rescue - he was labled a bichon mix. I had his DNA tested and he is 100% maltese. Who would have known. You little one looks yorkie to me. Welcome. Cherie |

Awww bless your heart for giving him a loving home!! I don't blame you one bit, I would have paid the money as well...what an awful person she is! I'm so glad you found a little companion that you will love forever!! Welcome to YT!!! :D |
Welcome to YT and congrats on your new addition. Believe it or not, I went to a playgroup this past weekend and there were alot of Yorkies and no two looked exactly alike! Different sizes, different coloring, ears up, ears down. They're all lovable. Best of Luck! |
Welcome to YT! Looks like a yorkie to me too:) |
She's just precious. I'm so happy you saved her from that terrible situation. She looks like a yorkie and a cute one at that. What's her name?:) |
She looks like a yorkie to me but who cares. She is a real doll and whatever she is you rescued her. Now she is going to have a good life and you can be proud that you took her. She had a bad start in life, now it's up to you to make her life wonderful. Papers don't mean anything and who cares if she's 2 or 4 she's still you're baby. Oh and btw welcome to you and your new baby to YT. What's her name? Send photos when you get her groomed I bet she's gonna be beautiful. I should say more beautiful than she is already. |
Daisy looks all Yorkie to me. I'm so glad you are giving her a wonderful new home and loving her so much. Congratulations! |
She looks like a cute little yorkie to me congrats! |
She looks like a yorkie to me I have a pic I think in an album of my Binky who passed in January her ears were down as well but its still cute. god bless you for taking her under you wing and she sure looks happy to be with you. I just did the same thing it will be 3 weeks on friday pulled mine from a back yard breeder though its probably worse and I can't even look up where she actually lived on google for fear of needing to have myself sedated. Savannah is adorable and since I didn't know much of her history I had my vet run a full workup on her including stool samples and got her microchipped as well. She has lots of fears but she's a yorkie through and through and with lots of love and attention she's starting to shine like the diamond she is. here are a few links to a few pics of my binky one of her in a full coat and one of her walking in the snow ...the snow one she followed my daughters pom out and was not to happy all of a sudden..lol Login | Facebook Login | Facebook |

Welcome to Yorkie Talk! What a cutie pie she is. You are her angel on earth for rescuing her. She already looks very much at home. Please post more pics after her "beauty" appointment :) |
I did check to see if anyone was missing her and so far, no one is. She isn't microchiped either. I am really thinking she was flipped. Maybe the person I got her from got her from a shelter or something and wanted to make a quick buck off of her. I just figured out yesterday that dog flipping is a BIG problem around here...people look for free dogs and try and sell them, calling it a rehoming fee. How people can do that is beyond me. I could NEVER do something like that..I love animals WAY too much! |
Thank you for saving her from her former owner, she sounds like a horrible lady! Your new addition looks like an adorable yorkie to me :) |
