I have a stinky problem, after I have taken sam to the groomers, 2 days later his goatee, mouth (not bad breath)& & nose area smells like a sewer!!! EWW! As much as I love my baby, his kisses are unbearable.. any suggestions how I can clean him off and have it stay smelling good until his bi-weekly bathes???? Does this happen to anyone elses dog? I hope sam doesnt have a serious problem.

| Never heard of this problem after getting groomed. Does it happen everytime you have him groomed? Is he eating any....poop? I hope someone knows, cause I don't have any gems of wisdom for you!

| Hi tmatherly thanks for responding, I honestly think his stinky face is from when he drinks water and eats his doggy food. It just smells like stinky socks... LOL! He does not eat poop, trust me when he poops he runs away real fast, that is how busts himself when he poops in the house hehe! When I leave him in his cage and he poops he stays away from it as much as possible. Oh well I was just hoping for suggestions on what I can put on his face to eliminate the smell, I cant bathe him every 3-4 days. I dont want him to get sick. Thanks again though

| I wash Shelby's face and bottom every day with a washcloth with a tiny bit of baby shampoo. I love doggy kisses but not stinky ones and this works out fine. Helps keep the eye boogers and tear stains away too. |

| Are you sure the smell is from his hair and not his mouth? He easily could have decaying teeth which is causing the smell! It smells like a sewer I have seen dogs with rotten teeth at 6 months of age. What color are his teeth on the side of his mouth. If it is yellow or green you need to get to your vet so he can clean his teeth. If decaying teeth are left untreated it can lead to infection in the dog and eventually cause heart problems and even death. Even if the vet has to pull his teeth it is not the end of the world, I have one with 3 teeth left and she still eats kibble. Very seldom do mine crunch their kibble but just eat it up. |

| When that happened to Gracie, she had a rip roaring sinus infection. She smelled horrible around her mouth and nose. I mean horrible.

| When we first got Meeju her face smelled like...well only thing I can describe it as a$$. We took her to the vet and found out she had an ear infection. They said that is one of the symptoms and gave us oral meds for it and her face no longer stunk! When we took Choppi to get his teeth cleaned we had them neuter him too so he had to wear a cone and also had his front dewclaws removed (poor guy didn't know he was going in for an extreme overhaul!) his face smelled like rotting garbage, but they told us we couldn't give him a bath for 7-12 days til his stitches healed. We bought the pet wipes (as others also mentioned) wiped up his face and also gave his body a quick once over and it was 10000% better.
