This morning when I went to the shelter I volunteer at of the animal health techs said I have something to show you. So a few minutes later she comes in with this baby yorkie. Someone got it at 5 weeks and it ended up in the Animal Emergency with hypoglycemia and seizures. They didn't want her and the hospital called the shelter and they took her. She is 7 weeks old and cute as button. She is being fostered by the vet tech and there are several people wanting to adopt her. They are going to wait until she is older and bigger to adopt her out and be very picky where she goes. I just held her and thought how could some one do this.
I will be following her closely!

Im glad she is getting good care now. She has definitely had a rough start and went to her new home way too early.

She is just the sweetest thing!!! God bless you people for caring for her. I hope she finds a wonderful family to love.

My gosh...she is as adorable as what you told me on the phone. What a warm feeling you must have gotten holding that little bundle of joy! Thank goodness she is being well taken care of and can eventually find her forever home. I am in love! What a darling baby!

Oh, what a sweet little girl

It's sad what people will do when they find out their puppy is sick...I'm glad she's in good hands now, thank you for doing what you do!

The tech said she is very playful and interacting with her other babies. She has another yorkie and some chichuahua's all rescues many with chronic illnesses. I know this ilttle one is in great hands and will only go to a great home.

I can't imagine how anyone could not want her!!

As horrible as winding up in a shelter might sound, this is going to wind up being the best thing that could have happened to her! It sounds like the people at your shelter really care for these pups. I'm so glad she's with them and getting the love and care she needs. What a cutie!!

I am just amazed at the dedication these people have to the animals at the shelter. I know they are underpaid and understaffed but they do an amazing job. I couldn't work there if it was any other way. It would be so much more depressing.

If you think that's bad...take a look at Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue Adoptions and Shop at our "Available Rescues" and check out the

Momma & litter of THREE lil'

boys that were surrendered at 7 weeks.

People just never seem to amaze me but, the flip-side of that is the amazement I find in the generousity of others, ready to jump in and lend their all for the innocent victims of reckless breeding!
