Should I get a yorkie?

I did not mean to hurt your doberman's feelings I have a friend who used to breed and show dobbies and she swears they are sweethearts...
You know your dogs and yourself.. and will make the best choice for you.

Only you know what your other dogs are like and if it would be safe to bring a small puppy into the household. Just because a dog is big doesn't automatically mean it will harm your puppy. I have a 2 year old 75 lb. Basset Hound and my Yorkie was 3 lbs. and 12 weeks when I brought him home. Of course we watched them play closely at first and didn't leave them alone together, but now the Yorkie is 5 lbs. and he actually hurts the Basset Hound sometimes when they play! It's like the Basset Hound knows that the Yorkie is fragile because he never bites him they just mostly wrestle around. The Yorkie has never been hurt by him. Most of the time they just sleep together. I don't worry about the Yorkie being hurt by the Basset at all.

We have 2 basset hounds weighing 55 lbs each, a shorkie, a yorkie and a shih tzu and everybody gets along fine.
