Owl and Hawk Alert

I never let my little one out even when I am outside. Not to long ago I was outside with my 3 and as I walked into the house with the three of them at my feet waiting for me to open the door I felt something hit the back of my head as the door open they ran in, I turned around to see a hawk headed up into the sky. Not sure if it was his wing or the air from his wingthat got the back of my head. I was so surprised that he was not afraid and attempted to swoop down with me right there. I have never let them out side again. I do have a 12x12 covered chain linked pen that is off of my living room that allows them free access to go into to get fresh air and some sun light.I do lock them up when I am not home though. It does have a cover from the rain but they refuse to go outside when it is cold so I have a pee pad near the dog door as well.

I am really sorry to hear about your friends puppy. That is really heartbreaking.
