| Right ear down Hi! I have a 4-month old, healthy, active, and adorable little girl Sophie. Her ears started standing right before 12-weeks and have been up since. It was comical even because they seemed bigger than her! However, this week her right ear started going down again. When she gets really excited it will stand up, but other wise it just sort of flops over. Why do you think it's doing this? And it's only the one ear? We just took her to the vet for her final shots on Saturday and she got a clean bill of health and both ears were standing! Now the one is down. I've read that some Yorkie's ears drop when they teeth, so not sure if this is it or not. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

| Yup, probably teething. I know you can tape their ears to help keep them up, but it sounds like if they were both up before they should be up eventually. I heard that during teething they can go up and down. You can also make sure the ears are shaved so no extra hair is weighing the ears down. Rio's and Bullet's ears stayed up throughout their teething stage luckily.

| Mine is 4 months old and the ears are not up yet. But my older yorkie had one up and one down for a long time and we thought it was going to stay that way. It eventually stayed up and she is fine.
