Yorkie Yakker | Good Pet Insurance Co. Hello Friends, Tobias has developed a skin tag, that was first diagnosed as a pimple, but now it's about the size of a pearl and it needs to be removed. Can anyone recommend an affordable, but quality pet insurance that covers dental cleaning and shots, as well as these kinds of unforseen problems? PS what could this fleshy lump with hairline veins be? He only has one, but it's gone from a tiny pimple like bump to the sz of a pearl in 6-8 months.;(

| You didn't say how old your guy is, as most pet insurances are most affordable when you initiate them during the puppy stage. I remember the benign "skin tag" bumps as being prevalent on my senior yorkie and easily removed during a dental appointment. For my young Biewer, Dori, I chose Embrace pet insurance. After researching the options, it worked out best for us. I think at the time it wasn't available in CA, but that has changed. Most are a combination of major illness and wellness. With Embrace, you choose your own deductible and co-pay. so you can customize the coverage. We pay about $40 a month. Some YT owners start a "medical fund" for their pets instead of insurance. Most of the costs tend to come in the later stages of life, so you can save and be prepared financially. There is a "sticky" on pet insurance for more info. Good luck with your decision.

| My Heidi developed what the vet said was a sebeccous cyst. They watched it for years and then it grew. She had surgery and it was cancer but thankfully they got it all. I lost her 1 year ago but she lived to be 18 years old. I would get it checked out. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I have Pet Plan for Pfeiffer and I've been really pleased. Keep in mind though that any condition your kiddo currently has would be a pre-existing condition, and usually not covered (at all) by insurance.

| I can recommend 24PetWatch and here is their site: Dog Insurance from 24Petwatch Pet Insurance Keep in mind...I do not know of ANY pet insurance companies who offer policies to cover "preventative" care especially, dentals.

| Actually, Embrace offers preventative care. You can mix and match your coverage including spay/neuter, dental, meds, etc. It's part of their "Wellness" plan. Check it out.

| Pet Insurance Check Trupanion. As long as your babies are under a year, the seem to have good coverage. You can customize it. I decided after much research to start a medical savings account for my babies....and hope I never have to use it. |
