I would report that vet to the veterinary board in your state! I hope little Tink will continue to improve. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers..what a scary story. :( |
:thumbup::thumbup: Yes LadyJane! |
This link has information about filing complaints and has a link to the complaint form: http://www.sos.georgia.gov/plb/newsletters/vet.pdf |
Your quick!!! I am sure she will appreciate your efforts. Good job!!:) |
Ladyjane, Thank you so much.. I was wondering if such a "board" existed. I kept think of the bar for lawyers and knew that was not the right place. I gues with all that ahs gone on and lack of sleep....my brain is not functioning too well. babsiam, little peanut is doing a little bit better, he seems to be blind completely tho... I hope this reverses. He is only 4 years old. And yes, he is a fruitloop and he will be reported to the veterinary board. He needs to stick to large animals only and maybe not even that. I am just so disgusted with vets right now... Her new one will have to show me something dynamic!! for me trust them. |
Blind? (cussing) Report that man as fast as your fingers can type!! I know you said it has affected Tinks vision too...has that gotten any better? (more cussing) I am SO sorry this has happened to you and your friend. Let us know if you need any help with anything. OK? |
Thank you so much, I just wish she would recover fully today.... You have all been wonderful to me. You don't know how your listening and support is helping me thru this. Both of these babies vision is not right and Peanut seems to be blind. He keeps wlaking into things...doors, walls, shoes, legs. It is horrible. I am babysitting tonight. His mommie got called in to work. SO sad. Both of these babies. I have taken pics and little cell phone videos to show...somebody what this idiot (excuse my language) vet has done to my baby and Peanut too. |
Might want to check to see if he HAS a license! https://secure.sos.state.ga.us/myverification/ I am trying to find out if GA lists vets with complaints and actions taken against them. Here in TX, you can find that information about all vets. |
Hmmm...some states hide disciplinary actions taken against vets...BUT it is a matter of public record. You can request that information. YOu might want to do that when you search for a new vet. ANother thing I always advise people to do is to seek out vet clinics that are AAHA accredited. http://www.aahanet.org/ Here is another link about vet complaints: File Complaint - Vets and Veterinarians |
I know exactly what you mean about living in the sticks with horrible vet service. The nearest ER vet to me is an hour to two hours away. The vets that are local are HORRIBLE. One local vet killed a boxer because he gave a vaccine while the boxer was running a fever!! I finally found one I semi trust but it's the neighboring state, luckily I live close to the state line. (30 mins.) anyway, I hope you report that nut case! I pray that Tink and Peanut get better quickly, poor babies. Do they have a vet opthamologist somewhere near you? That could check their eyes? I would look to a specialist. Even if you could talk to one on the phone just to get some advice. Best wishes to you and your baby.. |
LadyJane--Go Girl! You rock! I was wondering the same thing about if he had a license at all. LisaD-Hang in there. As I stated if you need anything, I was going to say ask but....looks like you don't even have to, people up here a always willing to support in any way! Please keep us updated on the babies. I hope they soon get their vision back to 100%. We are always here....:D |
Lisa, it's just the Best news that Tink is doing better!:D I hope & Pray that you get stronger & stronger each day sweet little girl.:aimeeyork Absolutely, this Vet needs to be held Responsible. It's horrible what your baby is going through, but for the Vet to do this to another innocent baby (sadly, victim) is incomprehensible. I know you were solely concentrating on Tink's health & to get her well, but pls do not let this go. I know you won't, but sometimes they have ways of getting around this. I remember years ago being outraged with my daughter's pediatrician because he didn't tell me the dangers of a medication. In his words, he said that any one could have allergic reations to any medication at any time.:rolleyes: Well, this was his way out of responsibility.:mad: I was very young then. As posted in the other thread, I also experienced my Vet not having knowledge of what Ivermectin could do. This is horrible for our babies. Small breeds are affected the most. Again, I am just so thankful I found this site years ago. |
Guess Who WALKED to my bedroom this morning??? And who was trying to JUMP out of the "tub" that I had her in??? Yep, Tink. Her little feet walking onthe hard wood floor woke me up. I just cried. SHe is still a tiny bit shaky, but, is doing better. I am so happy. Peanut is ALSO doing better. But, he is not as far as Tink just yet. But, I am very hopeful for him as well. I AM filing a complaint with the vet board. This has got to stop. I have not slept and cried, and more importantly, Tink has had a heck of an ordeal to go thru, as has little Peanut. There is NO excuse for this at all. It is just too much. You would think that vets would be more aware of what is going on and which breed can have what and HOW MUCH... I am so glad that my girl is recovering. But, I want to hang the vet!!! |
What great news!! So happy to hear that Tink is doing better! Hopefully Peanut will be right behind her! I will continue to pray for both of them! :) |
That had to be the best sound to hear. I am glad she is doing better and hope a full recovery is just around the corner for the both of them. |
