| Puppy Teeth Question What age do puppies usually lose their teeth? Bella likes to nip at our socks when we walk and today she was nipping at my fiance's sock while he was walking and ripped out two of her baby teeth. They are bleeding a little bit. She didn't whimper, but she keeps licking her mouth. I gave her some ice to suck on, but I feel so bad. Is this damaging or would it have happened soon? |

| I believe they lose their baby teeth as their adult teeth are coming in at about 8 months.... some happen sooner, some later.... I don't think it will hurt anything, as long as she has no trouble eating... you may want to wait for others to respond or put in a call to your vet....

| I would not worry they come out eventually anyway as long as she does not seem in a lot of pain and will still eat and drink

| Apparently she made the two top front teeth loose and those feel out this morning as well. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and she's still eating and running around so hope its ok! |

| Bella is 7 months old and I have 8 of her teeth so far that has come out. I wouldn't worry too much about it if she is not in any pain. She started to lose her baby teeth at about 5-5.5 months. She is quite the little chewer though. I would give her carrots to chew on and I think between that and the nylabones they loosened up. When she went in to be spayed in December I had asked the vet to check if there were any that needed to be removed. She said she thought the rest would come out naturally. Unfortunately she didn't lose the ones on either side of her canines yet and the others are coming through. I checked and they are still not loose. Has any one else had this happen. We are in Florida now until April. If they are not out by then, when we go home I will have to get them done. As one member said every puppy is different, some lose them earlier than others. |
