| seeing ghosties! my yorkies see them as well...Will chase imaginary things down the hallway..thought at first was a mouse, but never found any trace... before my mom died (80's) she would talk to my sister (died 1958), dogs we had in the 1960's, dog that died 10 years before...This is a woman who said there was no such things are ghosts.... people thought she just had a slowing mind...I don't... I think dogs see things because they don't know they aren't supposed to. I don't think these things are to be feared, I think they are just spirits who feel comfort in being near us... I will also talk to my spirits ...makes me feel better.... roxanne

| I guess due to Buster's complicated start I am reading to head to the Vet's whenever I notice an potential issue. When he was diagnosed with LP I suggested to her that she should have her dog checked as well. Her dog limps and skips way more than Buster ever did and extends one leg straight out to the side to pee/poop. I think she thought I was suggesting her dog needed surgery just because mine was getting it. She came around later and had her dog tested and her Vet said the dog was fine which did surprise me given Buster's symptoms vs Lola's. But I defer to her Vets diagnosis. Lola's bone density is twice that of Buster's even though she is only slightly bigger. We became friends because our dogs just love playing with each other. Perhaps the way I worded it caused her to get defensive. So now I suggest things cautiously and am mindful of how I word things.

| I had a very good family who I was friends with and babysat for for YEARS. They lived in front of a cemetery.... Their Standard Poodle Curley would bark sometimes for no reason, but ALWAYS on HAlloween Needless to say the kiddo's were on their own after I put them to bed and it got dark But Curley truly did see or sense things. I know he did.

| Linda Our Yorkie is starting to "see" things on the floor as if a spider is running over it but there's nothing there. My sister's poodle started doing this by wagging his tail and then hiding and being frightened. Turned out he was taking epilepsy and had to have medication which sorted it out. I'm hoping our Yorkie isn't starting to have this too. Apparently the frightened stage is after the fit has worn off and leaves a bit confusion which clears soon after. This has maybe nothing to do with other member's dogs, but I thought I would tell you my story. |

| [QUOTE=Buster Brown;3409192]My friends dog Lola started having these episodes yesterday where it is like she is seeing ghosts. She turns around quickly looking for something. We at first thought she might be seeing gnats or something like that but no. Sometimes she will bite at her rear but mostly she overreacts to sounds, movement. She is always playing with Buster but yesterday she hid from him like she was afraid of him almost like she did not recognize him. I actually went over at lunch to check on her because Jack was so concerned about her change. She did seem psychotic for a while but then seemed to go back to normal and started playing with Buster and interacting with us again. Her owner said she had another episode in the middle of the night and went back to normal. I just was wondering if anyone had gone through a similar experience?[/QUOTE; Hello..im new here..not for sure if this is were im suppose to reply..Our yorkie is 10months old and last month for the first time he started to follow me into the kitchen and as soon as his ft. got to the kitchen floor he come to a fast stop looking up about middle ways of room and started looking back and fourth like he was following something, than he just stared and started grawling..i turned around real fast and said theres nothin there Rascal..he jumped backward real fast layed on his bellie and started barking..it scared me..didnt know what to think but i was at the other end of the kitchen and kept saying come on its ok..he finally came toward me but kinda bent over fast walk and stayed way over as close to the refrigerator as he could get...than he stopped. the nezt morning in the bed he jumped up real fast looking up behind me and started growling and when i told him to stop he laid back down and hasnt done it anymore...i dont know but i didnt like it either. Hey since im new here can u look and see if you can see the pics. i uploaded? dont know if im doing this right or not...Thanks! |
