| I don't think you are irrational ; you are right to feel the way you do. Tell your boss that maybe when she gets old she should be abandoned to a strange place. You wonder if she really loved her dog ; she sounds like a coldhearted idiot. It makes me sick to hear of these selfish people who don't care for their pets and just want to throw them away when they get old. |

| I really hope that she does not have any children. They mght be in danger if they get too sick. I am most angry with the vet for even suggesting that. We look to them for guidance and direction sometimes. This was not a good direction to advise.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | This post was shocking to me. So in recap, we have a person promoted to President, with presumably the commensurate pay increase, who finds that her time is now limited in terms of being able to care for a dog she has had for 11 years. She wants to rehome, so takes to the vet for a wellness check, and gosh and by golly we have eye and liver "issues", vet says can be treated by medicine, but you may want to Pts The potential future owners dont' "want" to deal with this, so the President decides to put to sleep. For shame on her!!! First in terms of time, she, one would think would be able to hire dog sitters/walkers, pay groomers, etc to fill in when she can't be there. She should be able to pay for the medicine and support for her supposedly beloved pet of 11 years. I am aghast to share my life for 11 years and treat this dog in this way? I just don't understand at all, at all, and am very saddened again my the inhumanity of "humans".

| I don't know how I will be able to let mine go even when it's time, much less for the reasons the "Prez" let hers go. This is so sad. RIP little baby.

| Just read through this thread, and all of the resonses. What more is there to say? This lady must be very cruel at heart and unfeeling to not at least have found a home for her dog. Why wouldn't she listen to your good advise? Too much work for her I suppose... Who ever promoted this lady to president of your company should know what kind of person they are putting their trust in! I dont care how "important" you are, you dont treat a pet like trash you dispose of when you are done with it, just becuase it has medical issues, it was her responsibility to find a good home for her dog. |

| You are going to have a hard time working for her after this. Little loss of respect there, Ms. President.

| I lost respect for her with other things awhile back, but I never thought she would treat an animal like that. She would show pictures of her little baby to me and other people. I now think that was all for show!!!

| I just hope someone doesn't put her to sleep when she gets old and unable to take care of her self. We reap what we sow
