A new Yorkie will be joining Carlo and Maxine
 
A New male Yorkie Pup will be going the family next month. Needless to say, we are excited, happy, and looking forward to welcoming the little man into the family. Will be out getting everything we need for him, as God knows, he can't use anything that belonged to Maxine. So more beds, and cloths. Looks like I will lose the little bit of closet space I have remaining. The time is right to bring him into our lives. Carlo is back to being healthy although he will be on a cancer pill every 6 weeks, and Maxine is still a youngster at 13 1/2. The name has been decided, unless my wife decides to change it. Some names that she immediately ruled out were Marine, Captain, Artillery, Howitzer, Skipper, Gunner and Rocket.

He will be here sometime in Feb, after he is a min of 12 weeks, maybe a bit longer. He will be called (Maybe) Basil, or Baz for short. Longer version, Basilone Anzalone! Named after John Basilone, a Marine Corps Legend and Medal of Honor Winner on Guadalcanal in WW2. Will have plenty of Pictures once he is ok with them!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :D Oh, what fun you're gonna have with a new puppy in the house. I love the name Basil, too. That's such a cute, yet strong manly name. :cool: I can't wait to 'meet' the new baby.

Congratulations! My first Yorkie was named 'Stormin' Norman' but his name later morphed into several things and he ended up being called Boog or Booger.

(I almost said Booger is the nickname that stuck with him...but that didn't sound so good!)

Congratulations all the way around -- to Carlo's health, to Maxine and to you and your dear wifey. So what's a little closet space -- you can always get one of those pod thingies delivered to your driveway. Wouldn't be such a big deal to wrap a towel around your waist and head out to the driveway to grab a clean pair of camos.

Can't wait to see pics of your new little Rocket -- somehow the name just suits you.

How exciting....a new pup....added fun at your house....Maxine of course will attempt to boss him, Carlo will protect him.....moreover, loved completely and thorougly by all.

We have a Booger as well. Her official AKC name is Ron's Gotta A Big Booger! Ron was in Mexico when it was time to name her - he told me that I was better at naming our animals than he was, so I had some fun. Long before Boo came to live with us he claimed that the next dog we had would be a Boxer and her name would be Booger (not the nose kind, but the "haint" kind).

Steve a big congrats to you. Maybe Maxine's puppy clothes might fit him. Oh boy let's see that will be "one more car seat", life jacket, raincoat, snowwear, gotta have some puppy bows, and some adult bows, gosh I seem to remember your bed count was ummm something like 15, but of course he needs his own bed or two or three, crate for home, his own harness(es), leads, oh my and then their are the puppy toys(cha ching, cha ching). Then when he is older a dual lead (can walk two dogs on one lead), Xpen. crate water bottles, ooh the list is endless. Marge is going to have a wonderful time shopping.

I hope the time will pass fast, till your bundle of joy arrives.

Of course, if he tried to sleep in one of Maxine's 15 beds, he'd probably find himself tossed out the door by Maxine!:D

Oh, and Steve...I think a rubber tub would work really well for your clothes...hahaha.

Some of Carlo's beds are big enough for me to lay on! We have a grand total of 24 dog beds scattered all over the house, 2 floors and finished basement. I bet we will eventually crack the 30 bed marker! 30 beds, some hospitals do not have that many!

You are correct, Maxine would try to drag me off of her bed....Her stuff is hers, and Carlo's stuff is also hers. The new little guy will be in for a rough time from the grand dame!

I may go to Cabella's today and order a Tent and a small space heater, just in case I am displaced. Marge can provide me with a box lunch during the day, and I can eat in the garage at dinner.
