| Newbie I'm a newbie to the forum and Yorkies. We got an 8 week old Yorkie on Friday for our son and it was an instant bond. They are adorable together. Our son will be 6 in March and he has been patiently waiting for 2-1/2 years for a puppy. (as best as a 3 to 5 year old can be) We were remodeling and getting ready to put the house on the market and move and I did not feel we could devote the time a puppy deserves. That was why we waited. Only after 2 days he is the light of the household. Our first night was great. We are crate training him and he cried about 15 minutes and them went straight to sleep. When I woke up at 5 I got nervous cause I had not heard him all night. But he was fine, and definiatly a joy. Not alot of questions yet, but I'm sure they will come in time. I've always had Mini Dachshunds, so this is a change and I hoping a good change. Looking forward to getting to know all of you thru the forum. BTW we live in South Carolina not on Lake Wylie but near, so we named him Wylie. His first Checkup was good and he weighted in at 1.6 lbs. |

Donating YT Addict | Congratulations on Wylie I just wanted to warn you that Yorkie's are VERY fragile, so be careful & keep an eye on your son with the pup at all times.

| I was thinking the same thing. Congrats on the new pup. Our Brando is 4 months old and 3 pounds, but we dont have small children. Be very vigilent, for the sake of everyone. |
