| Quick Question - Pet Store Is it OK to take my 13 week old puppy shopping to the pet store (PetCo & Petsmart)? She's had 2 sets of shots so far. Would it be dangerous? Thanks! |

| I wouldn't take her until she has all her sets of shots.

| Even better would be 2 weeks after the final shots just to give her system a chance to build up immunity.

| Also I wouldn't take her in any grass, dog parks, parks, or anywhere until she has had all her vaccines. When I worked at the Vet as a Tech that was something I saw a lot, people would take their pets places without having them fully vaccinated, and they would come in with Parvo.. Its best to wait! |

| Even with all of her vaccinations, I wouldn't let her walk on the floors in those stores. When I take my girls there, my DH and I either carry them, or put them in one of their dog strollers. I feel, it keeps them safer from other dogs, little kids, and people that pet them without asking, first. I actually had a lady come up to me and attempt to take Kia out of my arms. but, I had her wrapped snug, tightly in my arms, and I said "Excuse me???" JMO Sheila |

| I would not take her until she has had all her vaccinations and I agree with the other post that I would not allow her to walk on the floors bc it would be very easy for her to pick up something. They are so fragile, Pixie is 16 month and I still carry her in a pet store.
